    First impressions of this were good, my daughter (nearly 6) was so excited to get it which surprised me as usually she will always request a character toothbrush. When it arrived it came in a red branded cardboard box which had 2x two pack of toothbrushes (4 toothbrushes in total) plus 2 tubes of toothpaste (50ml each) and a sand timer. It has a QR code on the box to “scan for more” which just took me to their website which wasn’t really of interest to us, other than a little animation of kids singing about brushing their teeth.My daughter was so excited to get this delivered and literally ripped the box open as soon as it arrived. I was a bit concerned when I realised the toothpaste was mint flavour as she has always refused that in the past and only wanted the fruit flavoured ones, so I assumed it would be a non starter, however she was willing to try it to my surprise and then happily brushed her teeth with it without complaint which I was really shocked about! I only put a tiny bit of toothpaste on to start and it ended up being plenty so it seems a little goes a long way, more so than the fruity ones aimed at younger kids. The sand timer was also brilliant as it made it fun for her to try and race it before it ran out and meant she brushed her teeth for longer than normal, albeit I’m sure the novelty will wear off with that at some point! The toothbrushes have also been great as they have little suction pads at the bottom so stick to the bathroom shelf and she found them fine to brush with. They have a cute design to them, one blue and red and one black and yellow, with animation of kids on them.Overall my daughter has loved this set and I’m really pleased to see her enthusiastic about brushing her teeth for once!

    Colgate is a pretty big name in the dental care market so I had high hopes for this kids starter pack.The pack contains both 4 toothbrushes and 2 tubes of toothpaste - a slightly weird ratio but both critical elements. The toothbrushes are age appropriate and well made, I don't have any concerns about them falling apart. The toothpaste is also age appropriate with a different flavour that is suitable for the younger amongst us.Overall then this is an all round handy pack for anyone with appropriately aged children looking to get started with their dental hygiene.

    This set has encouraged my son to be more independent. The timer helped the most. He can now go and brush his teeth on his own and time himself exactly two minutes. This set is his.The toothbrush is designed to appeal to kids. And it works. My son likes the design, he likes the grip. It’s easy for me to hold and brush. The bristle is very soft. Very kind to his gums. The toothpaste is a huge plus. We have always struggled to find him a toothpaste he can use. He doesn’t like the taste of mint. This toothpaste is balanced well. It isn’t too strong in flavour. He did say the first moment he started to use it, he didn’t like it but quickly became mild. The timer is spot on 2 minutes. Now he brushes his teeth on his own.

    This kit is, as you would expect from Colgate, very good quality. The brushes are colourful, fun and comfortable to hold. The different sized bristles ensure that they get into the gaps. It is fun but also a bit scary to see your teeth turn blue! This has a serious to it though as it allows the child to check that they have reached everywhere. The timer is useful but two minutes does seem a long time when you are brushing! The current price of £10.58 seems very reasonable for the amount of kit you get. Recommended.

    The Colgate Kids Toothpaste Set is aimed for 6+ Years and comes with 2X Colgate Big Kids' Smiles Toothpaste, 4X Colgate Kids Toothbrushes (aimed at 6-9 Years) and a 2 Minute Sand Timer.It’s a complete set that comes with everything little one will need to get started on this stage of brushing and is really decent quality all round.There’s nothing really negative to it - if I was really nitpicking the timer is a little on the small size and easily played with by little one but with a bit of hindsight this can be mostly negated.

    Designed specifically for comfortable independent young brushers - we use this lovely combination for our school-aged kids, when I bought it last time, it was priced higher and not available in a set like this.The brushes in this set or softer than grown-up brushes and multi length to ensure they clean a mix of big and small teeth which may have started growing in awkward angles. There is also a tongue cleaner on the rear, if they want to use it.The toothpaste is specially formulated with sugar acid neutraliser for little ones keen on exploring their developing interest in sweet food, it also contains a more protective reinforcement against developing cavities - which is all too common in this age group.We love that this formula turns blue after it is brushed for about two minutes - its a perfect little invention for young boys keen to get back to playing, as it keeps them engaged whilst they're fascinated by the special colour-changing paste.The flavour is milder than the adult forlula and less obtrusive to inspire a keenest for keeping that smile pearly white, plus there is a two minute timer included if they wish to go against the clock for a special (healthy) treat!Personally, I don't think there is enough toothpaste included in the set to outlast all four brushes.As the set is neatly presented in a gift box, it would make a nice little gift for those looking for a rather unusual and gift, or perhaps a competition winning gift issues by a healthcare authority.5 stars
