About this item:
This colourful Four-in-a-Row game is a classic childhood favourite, and it is a great addition to any family board game collection. The compact size means the line-up game is a fantastic travelling companion, ideal for slotting into a car door or the side pocket of a carry-on to challenge a fellow traveller and while away the miles. Line connecting games are smashing family fun, and they make great tombola prizes, classroom rewards, small gifts, party favours, stocking fillers, and more! There is also a mathematical appeal to playing drop-four games, as statisticians and game theorists love to speculate on what makes the perfect play!
The premise of the connect game is simple. To play, two players take it in turns to drop counters into the grid and go head-to-head in a game of strategy as they compete to be the first play to complete a line of four matching colour counters. How many winning combinations of four connecting colour counters will you discover? And don’t forget, whoever takes their turn first usually has the advantage…
This is a single Four-in-a-Row game set, and each set includes: 1x vertically suspended grid in blue with six rows and seven columns, 21x red counters, 21x yellow counters. The game is neatly boxed, which makes it a convenient shape to giftwrap and easy to pack away when the fun is done. The suspended grid playing board measures approx. 13cm x 9.5cm / 5.1inch x 3.7inch.
Recommended for ages 3+. We advise you do not leave young children unsupervised with our line connecting game, as the small size of the counters are a potential choking hazard.
This product carries the UKCA mark and is compliant with all applicable UK and EU safety requirements.
WARNING! Choking hazard, not for children under 3 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars As a Connect Four Game it works.
This is the Classic Connect Four Game. Inside we find the Plastic Playing Frame. And inside that is Red and Yellow playing pieces in a plastic bag. The only way to move the pieces is to open the bag and let the pieces out.The Back of the Box has instructions on how to set the game up through doesn’t mention the bag of pieces can be a pain. You need to be careful opening the bag up to avoid losing pieces. And how to play the game. You just open up the Game, and make sure the Board is standing up in the middle, slotted in, sort out the pieces and start playing. As a Connect Four Game it works. Once the game is over, you just turn the board sideways to empty it and then sort the pieces out into the correct colours. Red One Side. And Yellow the other.
4.0 out of 5 stars Basic Travel Connect 4 Game
No doubt you already know Connect 4 so I don't need to spell out how the game works, merely comment on the quality and portability of this set. It's not bad at all, with 21 pieces of each colour (although that leaves no room for error. If you lose one there are no spare pieces) which is enough to completely fill the game board. The playing surface lifts up and tips over so it can be slid over the base, thus stopping the tokens from sliding out. There's a plastic ridge along the centre of the base so when you want to set up the game, you lift up the playing surface and drop it down onto that ridge, which then acts as the bottom (I feel I'm not explaining this very well, but it's very simple). At the end of play you lift it up and the pieces all into the trays below, and the sorting of pieces then ensues. My only comment would be that it'd be nice if it had been designed to latch shut somehow. As it is, there's nothing to stop the playing surface sliding back and forth when collapsed down so if packed away in a back while travelling, the pieces could end up falling out. To prevent this, you must keep it in the cardboard box. Not a biggie, as that doesn't greatly increase the overall size, but it wouldn't have been a difficult thing to add.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game
This travel size version of a popular game is perfect to fit in a backpack/suitcase. It is small, lightweight and made of sturdy plastic. It's a great game to keep the kids entertained anywhere where there is likely to be waiting around e.g. airport, appointments, hospital, sick bed. Everything is well contained within the frame therefore fitting nicely back in to its box after play. Brilliant!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel set
This is exactly as described and is a bit of a blast from the past game for all ages. The small size really does make it perfect for travelling, especially as it weighs nothing. The game is currently priced at £5.99, which is maybe slightly overpriced?I received this item for free as part of Bolo's Vine programme, but I would spend my own money on it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Handy mini size Four in a Row game, great for travelling, vacations, students etc
It's that time of year when I'm putting together a collection of small gifts for Christmas time. My daughter used to love this game as a child, always beating me helped her enjoy it so much I guess! This will be a fun and nostalgic gift for her to take back to university after the holiday and play her friends in the coffee bar below her student accommodation (it will make a change from card games they currently play). The game is an all-plastic construction so will be prone to snapping if stepped on or if you are too rough opening and closing it (the tray and rack can get stuck if you don't open or close it carefully). It is a bit wobbly when set up but still perfectly playable, the small plastic discs drop smoothly into the rack. I just wish they included some spare discs, there are exactly 21 red and 21 yellow discs and you are bound to lose one or two over time.
5.0 out of 5 stars This game is always good
How can I go wrong with this great game, suitable for all ages and different minds? In this nice and good container which will keep all the pieces safe, we can leave this at home or take it on the road with us. It’s well made, not too flimsy and it’ll last for some time if treated well.
