    I received this , just a few days ago. I was hoping that this one would work. I have bought at least 5 others that do not work. I have two of those now and the barking continues. Except that one of those has a remote and with many clicks with the remote button I could get the barking stopped. How much of my day do I want to spend pushing that button, not much. I charged this one and put it out side my kitchen window last night and I have had blissful quite except for a few barks, not enough to complain about. Before it was barks for hours, till I got some relief from the remote one.. Now they bark once and stop. They try again after an hour or so with the same result. If you have this problem you can try this one. If more buyers get this same result it might put a lot of others out of business.I intend to update this review after a few more days and I hope I will be able to confirm what I have written so far.

    I've previously used a smaller ultrasonic device to help control my two medium sized dogs when they get carried away barking at people/animals/leaves/anything outside. But I wanted something that I didnt have to worry about going to find and press the button, so this seemed perfect. My hound mix barks once maybe twice, hears the beep from the device and immediately quiets down. My blue heeler it has had almost no effect on, he notices it but it doesnt bother him enough to make him stop barking. Neither dog seems to get upset by the noise, they just notice it and it distracts them for a moment. Battery life seems really good, and I also haven't noticed a huge difference between the multiple settings having any sort of different effect with the dogs. Overall, having 1 quiet dog is better than 2 barking dogs so it's a win.
