2.0 out of 5 stars 3 weeks in - now only 2 stars (from 4 stars) due to base comfort & lack of heat function

Arrived before the estimated delivery day, so that was good! The footrest had slipped out of its bag inside the box and so was a bit dirty with white powder marks on it.Assembly will take longer than the 15 minutes claimed and it would be good to have two people to assemble the chair, so one person can hold items whilst the other uses the L shaped 'allen key' provided (e.g. especially the arms part). You may want to use a special 'allen key' drill bit end to speed things up a bit, but only if you do not tighten hard at the end - leaving your left hand to do the final tightening with each bolt or you will risk ruining the internal screw threads. You will need to purchase a USB extension cable as the connection for power cable at the back is shorter than I would have expected. I would recommend connecting to a USB charger and not power from one's computer/laptop.Take care assembling the arms - the straight side edges need to be alongside the main chair body or you'll be installing each arm the wrong way round! Attach each arm to the back of the chair part first, whilst allowing each arm to dangle downwards, then this will be easier screwing the arms in!The hardest part, was following the diagram for the 'footrest' section - the instructions' diagram is drawn the wrong way round and the 'footrest' needs to be a section which stores horizontally under the chair when not in use - the longer section of it (beyond the screw holes underneath) needs to be poking out the front when the bolts are attached underneath - it slides out on a U shaped rod system. See photo 3 of the Bolo product details where the foot rest is shown sticking out.In terms of use, the chair just about raises up high enough so my arms are slightly under the "level" with the typing area of my desk - but ergonomically it could do with a couple more inches in height and I would now have preferred slightly higher height. I think I need to reset the height each time I sit on the chair, as it is gas assisted mechanism. The chair feels and looks good quality and is supportive but does not have a headrest one can use - the back of the chair just reaches the tops of one's shoulders, which is ok.In summary - a quality product in a fair price range where one will still have quite a bit of assembly to do when compared with £230 chairs where they will arrive from some UK suppliers pre-assembled - that's seems to be the trade off decision one has to make.All-in-all, everything seemed great on 'Day 1' - I hadn't then powered up the heat and massage functions as I needed to buy that USB extension cable first.Update - USB cable extension now purchased - but, unfortunately, this review has now changed rating from 4 stars to 3 stars as the chair does not do the heat function well - it cannot do heat separately to the massage function. There are no remote instructions supplied so one can check all the right buttons are being pressed. So forced to only be allowed heat and massage at the same time (even with High & Low settings available), the USB power (even through a separate plug adapter which is more powerful than using one's computer USB socket), the unit tries on both High and Low settings and then the power fades away, switching off the remote completely (and definitely no heat had started to appear either).Update - 3 weeks in: base of chair now flatter and not comfortable to sit in. For those of us two stone heavier than we should be, unfortunately, this chair is not good for those larger adults, as. claimed and I am having to use a back cushion and base cushion just to sit in it.In summary, one is therefore buying a chair which is not comfortable to sit on and is 2 -3 inches lower than needed for typing at my desk. It is a massage chair with a massage function that is very buzzing in various places, but don't expect it to give you a deep massage on any area. One setting made me feel a bit sick and so having it on Low rather than High was a bit better. Apologies for having to give this review as I had expected a lot more from this chair. My previous conclusions, with genuine regret, and now 3 weeks in, has now changed to: I would not buy the product again as (1) does not rise high enough; (2) becomes uncomfortable to sit on after 3 weeks of use; and the massage being buzzing really and with no heat function, makes the product not as described in terms of functions. However, it does work as a chair (albeit slightly lower than I would like for typing!) which might work for people of less weight - DCM
