I have read all four of the published Chronicles of Ancient Darkness and still enjoyed Spirit Walker the most. It continues the story of its predecessor by revealing even more of the mysteries surrounding Torak's upbringing and his father's death. Moreover, you begin to learn of Torak's special power that isn't at all hinted at in Wolf Brother, but you must wait until Soul Eater before you can fully appreciate what that power can do. I found Spirit Walker the most enjoyable of all the books due to its faster pace. It contains the fewest "lulls" (where the story drags a bit) of all of the titles in the series. If you have read and enjoyed Wolf Brother, then you will definitely want to read the rest of the series.I enjoy the series so much that I couldn't wait another year until the fourth book, Outcast, was published in the U.S. So I ordered it from Bolo.co.uk soon after it was released and paid more than double the U.S. price so I could read it now. That's a testament to just how much I enjoy this series.

It's paperback, so it's not the sturdiest book on the shelf, but it's a great sequel to the first book "Wolf Brother." Thank you Michael Paver for a great book series, and keep up the good work.

I started reading this series to share with some of my students. After the first book I wanted to read more about the characters. This series would be excellent for both girls and boys. I can't wait to hear their reviews.

My father had the first book, and wanted the rest of the books. This is the 2nd book in the series. I plan on getting the rest of the books for him as well. We got this book in a timely manner, and my father is already a good deal through it, if not already all read. He really enjoys reading, so I get him the books I can, as he is not on the internet to be able to find some of the books he likes to read, and I am.

My nephew is 10 and would typically choose anything else to do other than read. Being a teacher myself, I often give my neices and nephews books as part of their Christmas/birthday gifts. A student of my own recommended the first book in this series (Wolf Brother) to me, so I bought it for Colin. My sister had to practically force him to sit down and read, but once he got started he loved the book! That's when I bought him the second and third in the series - hoping to keep him going on it. When they arrived at his house, and he saw that they were in the series (and hard cover) he was thrilled! He's been showing off his collection of books to everyone, and has his nose inside reading to make his way through to the next in line! I'm looking forward to#4 and #5 coming out here so I can send those to him as well. I'm ecstatic that he's finally found a book he'll read form beginning to end, not to mention a series. It's good to have reading be a hobby in your life, and I'm so happy this series has shown Colin that reading can be enjoyable. I would recommend this book and the entire series to anyone interested in getting kids reading. It's an adventurous and exciting series!

I ordered all the books in the series for my son. He read these in middle school and loved them so much that even now that he has graduated high School he wanted to own them. So i bought the series for his graduation. The books were in excellent condition and delivered quickly.

Another great read about the adventures of to rack and the customs of all the various clans. On to the next book.
Beautifally written
He loved how the author was able to get inspiration from abroad in the north of Europe, he liked the book from the begining to the end. This was one of his favorite books my son read.

Unabridged版と記載されていますが、実際はlightly abridged です。CDにもlightly abridged と記載されています。このシリーズの二冊分（Spirit WalkerとSoul Eater）だけが軽く編集されています。他の４冊分はUnaburidged版です。どうしてこのような中途半端なことになっているのかは不明です。作品はすごくいいのでなんだか残念です。

Seit Harry-Potter endlich mal wieder ein "kleines" literarisches Fantasy - Kunstwerk, das mich ein Band nach dem anderen "fressen" lässt...Von der ersten Seite an fesselnde Abenteuergeschichten eines jungen Trio zu Zeiten der früheren Menschheitsgeschichte.Der Junge Torak, das Mädchen Renn und ein junger verwaister Wolf kämpfen zusammen, verlieren sich, finden sich wieder und müssen dabei viele, viele Gefahrensituationen überstehen. Dabei geht es auch um Clan-Streitigkeiten, Widrigkeiten in der Wildnis um das eigene Überleben zu sichern; und natürlich: der Kampf gegen böse Mächte.Es ist schön, wie die einzelnen Charaktere herausgearbeitet sind, sich die Persönlichkeiten im Verlauf entwickeln. Deshalb berühren die Geschichten doch sehr. Die Ereignisse sind teils dramatisch, manchmal auch grausam - und ich staune deshalb, dass das Buch schon für kids ab 10 Jahre empfohlen ist.Aber auf jedenfall lesenswert, vor allem wenn deutschsprachige kids Englisch lernen wollen.
