Full disclosure: We are big Jamie Oliver fans. We have been trying to make little changes toward healthier eating for years so the philosophy of this book is spot on for us. We like that there is nutritional and portion information with each recipe. Some complain about the small portions, but we've found them super satisfying. Living in a rural community, we have a challenge finding some ingredients, but substitutions are easy to find. We've tried six recipes so far and they are all lovely. We fed the squash daal to our vegetarian friends last night and got excellent reviews. Best of all, our kids (ages 10 and 12) love all of the dishes we've tried. My 12-year-old even paged through the book and found a couple of recipes that she wanted to try herself. She's enjoying the cooking and the eating. My favorite part: The nutritious, high protein, low sugar snacks are revolutionizing what I pack to send to sports practice.

Beautiful cookbook with gorgeous photos of every recipe covering every meal option including snacks and drinks. This is a deep dive into incredible food inspired by the Blue Zones of the world. Blue Zones are areas where centenarians thrive as a by-product of their good health, nutrition, culture and vitality. Some of the recipes are featured in Season 1 of Jamie's Super Food series which can also be purchased through Bolo Prime Video. The recipes are fresh, simple and provide good choices for great food that you can feel good about serving.This is, hands down, my favorite cookbook since Thug Kitchen entered the cookbook scene - and I highly recommend all of their cookbooks too!

Typical Jamie Oliver…simple, direct and delicious recipes that are meant for home cook that has a little bit of a sense of adventure! Great recipes with nutritional info, making it so easy to make great food choices at home.

Big fan of Jamie Oliver.Bought book after watching the show.So far every recipe I have tried has been a hit! Some of the recipes need to be converted from grams to ounces.Some of the recipes from the book can be found on his web site.

This is my new favorite Jamie Oliver cookbook. I've only made the first three recipes (Baked Eggs in Popped Beans, Cherry Tomatoes, Ricotta on Toast; Granola Dust; and Magic Poached Eggs, Smashed Avo & Seeded Toast), but those three recipes were amazing. They were delicious, filling, and weren't nearly as time consuming to make as I thought they would be. Some of the recipes do require specialty ingredients, but they are easy enough to substitute. For example, instead of hazelnut milk for one of the recipes I'll be using almond milk, and I'll probably substitute brown rice for black rice. But it's not a big enough inconvenience to take away any stars. Can't wait to try the other recipes!

I've been disappointed with this book ever since I bought it. I love Jamie Oliver. I like healthful cooking. Still, very few of the recipes even make me want to try them. It's a big turn off. His previous book, which also featured healthier recipes that cooked quickly, was better. I honestly wish I had bought something else, but I'm not happy with selling it back on Bolo and receiving half of what I paid for it even though I've had it for less than a month.

Great book, Amazon did horrible with the packaging though:(

I bought this as a gift but it looks used because Bolo did not use the proper packaging. :( The cover looks very damaged.

Delicious, healthy and easy to prepare (and shop for) recipes!

I ordered this book by Jamie Oliver after having borrowed it before - and I love it. The recipes are so easy, but so delicious and healthy. As a passionate hobby cook, I often find it hard to find cooking books that have a decent amount of recipes that are easily available in any supermarket I shop in in Germany - most of the times, they require very specific ingredients that one can surely replace - but what's the point in buying a book of recipes then? Jamie Oliver successfully manages to find a mixture of internationally inspired recipes - they are divided by meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc) but are also interchangeable. It works under the premise that no ingredient is per se bad as long as its used in moderation. I find this to be a very healthy approach, having had my share of trying out different kinds of so-called healthy diets. All recipes include the amount of calories (obviously) and other important nutrients. After having cooked many of the recipes, I even lost some weight (without specifically aiming to), but more importantly, my family and I enjoyed the variety of recipes. I especially loved the skinny Carbonnara, the Tortilla-Tomato soup, and all the different kind of to-go salad varieties and spreads you can prepare for work in advance.

若いころのジェイミーはあまりにも人気がありすぎて、あるときテレビでひとつのスパイスを紹介すると、翌日にはイギリス中のスーパーでそのスパイスが売り切れ、一日で消え去ってしまいました。そういった理由から、彼のレシピには不自然な調整が加えられていることも多いのです。大人の事情です。そんな彼も40歳を迎え、食べ物を健康という視点から考えたのが、この本です。この本の巻末には、基本的な栄養学が簡単にまとめられています。炭水化物、たんぱく質、脂肪の種類や働き、水の必要性、乳製品やアルコールの説明、睡眠についてなどが書かれています。私はそこが気に入っています。基本的な栄養学を英語で読むと、日本語よりもむしろわかりやすいので。レシピ自体は、いかにも健康に気を遣った、オーガニック(自然食品)系の食材が多用されたものです。あまり健康健康とうるさいのはどうかと思いますが、いろんな食材を紹介するという意味では良いと思います。レシピにカロリー計算や栄養素が書かれてあるのも、気にしすぎは逆に良くないと思いますが、目安として参考にはなるので良いです。レシピに日本の豆腐が出てきたりして、「ああ、健康食だな」と思います。外国人の視点からの豆腐の使い方を見るのも、日本人としてはなかなか面白いものです。また、健康な暮らしで有名な三カ国をジェイミーが旅した様子が書かれているのですが、その中に日本の沖縄が含まれているのです。私は彼の著書をたくさん読みましたが、この本は中でも特にお気に入りのひとつです。
