5.0 out of 5 stars Book review
I am 81 years old and have had updated copies of this Book. I have been getting this book since 1986. It saved me many times. Was able to question my Dr.'s on mediction about meds that interact with each other. I love this book.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great information
Easy to look up medicine's, get full review
4.0 out of 5 stars Great reference book and more up to date than most others
Book is extremely thorough and informative. I had hoped there would be pictures of pills in general for the purpose of identifying unknown medications, however no such luck. Either way, book is great to have on hand!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful book for all ages
I can’t put this book down. There’s so much interesting information that I didn’t realize happened and it does make sense to me now considering my conditions it’s a must read and very handy to have on hand. If you’re reading this, you should buy it. Thanks again for letting me voice my opinion.
5.0 out of 5 stars AS good and comprehensive as The Pill Book, and newer edition
This is a well-indexed, well organized, and comprehensive guide to drugs. I have always bought The Pill Book, but I saw that the newest edition of my old favorite was several years old, so I decided to try this one instead. It has good coverage and is easy to use, like the Pill Book but a newer edition.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect to help me study to become a pharmacy technician
It gives a general introduction, how to take prescriptions, where to store them, who to consult, etc. and then after that the whole book tells you about prescription drugs, it’s uses, it’s generic names, what do if someone overdoses on it, etc.
5.0 out of 5 stars It helps my elderly parents to b aware of what medicines they are scripted and otc meds as well.
I liked that it was a more current publicationI purchased it for my elderly parents. They take scripts and otc drugs .Helps acknowledge and learn what they are taking .They love the book .Thanks so much.
3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn’t include the most current drugs.
I like the format and the layout of the book. However, the book is missing the newest drugs.
Useful guide for prescription meds.
Research interaction of prescription medications and potential side effects.
Take the red pill Neo!
Very informative and comprehensive listing of today's pharmacological potpourri. Includes brand and generic names, full listings of pathologies, side effects, warnings, and foods to avoid. Highly recommended especially for people over 60 who are subject to a buffet of drugs and should be aware of possible complications.
Medications
Very useful to have.
Medication side effects
This was a gift for a friend who doesn't have a computer and wants to be able to understand the "fine print" on any medications she has to take. Her research saved my husband's life as she discovered a little known side effect to a medication they both have to take. With Covid making library visits difficult for her, this book was her Christmas present. She is pleased with it.
