There is a mix of story and coloring books. Our kids (3 and 6) have been taking turns each day opening a "door." The books are small (fits the size of the door), but surprisingly sturdy and have yet to be destroyed.Books are always in style and a super bonus to avoid the messy and/or potentially gross tasting chocolate this year. Cheers to Bluey and reading!

This was a great alternative to candy calendars. My little one really enjoyed this countdown- great reading and coloring books.

This is the best advent calendar we’ve gotten. The quality of the books were allot better then expected. And the stories have the full story as a big book would (just smaller writing). The coloring books are my favorite. The pictures are clear and simple, so perfect for little one to color, and myself :)

It's cute and we like it. I've done Disney book advent calendars in the past and we loved them. But the lettering was so small it was tough and were all full length feature books, just tiny sized. We reused them for a couple of years and a few of them became travel books and some lived in the diaper bags. These books are cute and much shorter, which is great because my children are 4to 12yo and allows us to read more than 1 book at bed time. These books are short and mirror stories from the show so we are familiar with them. My only complaint is how many coloring books are part of this. I wasn't expecting that it would be very nearly half! A couple would've been fine but they're all sitting around mostly uncolored and they're too small for my toddler to color effectively. I wish they were all stories, tbh. I also don't think these will be kept in the same ways the other book advent calendar books were kept. imo, this maxes out about age 8 and I wouldn't recommend it for children younger than 3.

Loved this as my youngest’s advent calendar this year. She looked forward to it every day. Every other day was a coloring book, which was fun, but she wasn’t as interested in them as the actual storybooks. The books are small, but capture the stories really well. We will be keeping these out year round and adding to our collection.

The calendar itself is decent quality, and the actual stories are great. There are just too many coloring books compared to stories, and the coloring books are too detailed for my 2 year old. I'm not even sure they would be super great in a year or two. Some of the pages have enough detail that even I would struggle coloring them in with how small the actual pages are. It's a cute calendar, but I probably wouldn't have bought it if I new it was practically half coloring books. We're only on day 12 too, so the ratio seems off.

We bought this for our 3 year old. It seems to be high quality and the stories are actually well written. They are taken from Bluey episodes but you don’t need to have seen the shows, they do a good job of modifying it for a little book. Some of them are coloring books. Our kid has been very happy with it!

This was a win for us. Our daughter (2 years old) loves flipping through the little books when she wants an episode. The coloring books are a little old for her so we put them away for a later time. As some have said the text on the stories is very small and probably difficult to read, but she won't sit still for that long of a story right now anyway. If they came out with a new one next year we would definitely buy again!

Although it would be nice to receive full sized books, this was still a great way to spend quality time together and create traditions for our family! Not only do you receive little books, there are also COLOURING BOOKS leading up to the final larger sized big finale! I highly recommend this to anyone who has littles I'd say roughly 12 months+. My son was 18 months at the time and he thoroughly enjoyed it, however like I said regarding the size, he has a harder time with the colouring books and finds them less enjoyable. But I 100% recommend this!

Mini Bluey storybooks are full stories. My 4 & 7 year old grandchildren loved it. Delightful !
Too many colouring books, perhaps. How about some Bluey puzzles, games or riddles next year? My 4 year old granddaughter is a huge Bluey fan and was able to recite some of the stories as I read the mini books, as she has some of the large books. She was especially enchanted!

Perfect gift for this age. Only draw back it has a few coloring pages with it that he doesn’t like. But great advent for before bed
Fun books, but half colouring
Our family is big into Bluey so I purchased this as a preorder when it first came out. We are at day 22 and have 11 colouring books and 11 regular books. A couple colouring books were fun at first, but by the time the 5th rolled around, my kids were not very happy and neither was I. If it’s marketed as books, they should all be reading books with maybe 1-3 colouring or activity books. The books are each episode, so they would not have been too difficult to make the full 24. Hoping next year there’s a better version!
