I used this to help teach moral with my 2nd graders. They enjoyed the story and we had great discussions with it. The illustrations are very vibrant. Great book!

This is such a great book to read with kiddos struggling to find their footing. A great message about just because their peers don’t like something doesn’t mean they have to hide their feelings about something they love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got My Kid to Try Lima Beans

R. · September 25, 2024

My five-year-old found this story on YouTube, and watched it over and over again, so I got her a copy. The first thing she did was kiss the book. The second thing she did was ask me to read it to her. The third thing she did was demand that I buy lima beans and feed them to her for her dinner, so she could find out if she liked them or not, and also avoid getting the stripes. She really didn't want to get a case of stripes.

Such a great book love the colors and the plot. Definitely a lot of humor had my 5-year-old laughing as I remembered as a kid being his age.

This is a really fun book with fantastic illustrations! Silly story that captures the attention of multiple aged children but a great underlying message of staying true to oneself. It’s a fun real-aloud book. Not sure on the actual reading level.

My son came home from his first day of 2nd grade asking for this book and I’m so glad we bought it. I love that the pages contain more than two sentences on each page and the print is a great size.

Das Buch gefällt mir sehr gut, da es die zwei wichtigen Kriterien für mich erfüllt. Einerseits ist es schön gemalt, andererseits ist die Geschichte interessant, lehrreich und nicht zu lang.
