Foreword
Minecraft is a cultural phenomenon. It has impacted music, television, and books, and for many people it has been a life-changing game. When I first started playing, back in the summer of 2009, I didn’t know it would be a life-changing game for me, too. I was too concerned with building my brick pyramids and glass balconies, and I didn’t yet see what Minecraft was heading to become.
Since then—despite its simple graphics and mechanics—millions and millions of people have joined the adventures of Minecraft. Once you overcome the initial rough edges and see the bigger picture, you find endless worlds, creativity, challenges, and limitless storytelling in one big package.
These experiences are what we have cherished and aimed to preserve, while constantly adding and improving to keep Minecraft fresh and interesting. With this book we want to share how the people behind Minecraft have been thinking about its history and show how important the game has been—and is—to us.
Of course, to truly understand why Minecraft has touched the hearts and minds of so many others, you really should play it yourself. My hunch is that you already have, so let’s together build a deeper understanding of the universe of Minecraft!

Yes, you read that correctly. This book is a very detailed history of both the game and it's impact on a generation. When I first purchased it, I assumed it was a new guidebook for the game, (IYKYK) and was actually pleasantly surprised to find out it is more of a read-through. Our favorite section/chapter goes over the infamous Minecraft music parodies that were viral so long ago. (Again, IYKYK)This book is very high quality. The pages are thick, the cover is substantial, and the print quality is excellent. A nice, heavy book, that would make a great gift for any Minecraft enthusiast. This will definitely be a coffee table book for my sister, whom I purchased it for as a Christmas gift.

I added this book to my game room table as a decoration, but find myself looking at it more and more. It is incredibly interesting looking at the different creations that have been made before, and what Minecraft can do.This is a review I feel images would not do the book justice, so I left those out. Anyone who purchases this book will guarantee love it, including children. My little sisters who are Minecraft obsessed adore looking at this when they come over. Definitely a hit in my book! *pun intended*

A Story of Minecraft
This is an excellent book for someone who is fan of Minecraft and game development. It explains how Minecraft was made in depth. Pictures and sketches are very detailed and informative.
A book perfect for fans of all ages
Bought this as a Christmas present so I don't have the recipient's verdict but I think this book is perfect for Minecraft fans of any ages! From what I've read, it was very informative and each picture was clear. Well packaged in delivery which was very, very fast (a great bonus for Christmas lol).
Not worth it
The book does not feel like being a collector's edition.I was hoping for more concept art, something worth Minecraft's 15 anniversary, but it's simple in-game screenshots or pictures of people, accompanied by text on the side. Will return
