Review

The book is just so much fun for kids! I've never seen a book that is so engaging and fun. And the cherry on top: the lessons my kids are learning are life-long lessons that are simply priceless! Perseverance, empathy, kindness, growth mindset... This is the absolute best gift available for any 4-9 year old! --Maya Shanun, Pediatrician & Mother of 5

We use this book during our morning meetings, and my students still request to read it over and over and over again. The discussions we have about Danny and his actions are so great. The kids always point out how Danny's actions can relate to their own. I believe that the lessons we learn from this book help teach my students how to treat others kindly and be responsible for their actions... I know that it has helped them become more thoughtful. They think about their actions more now than ever before. They've become more kind and generous to their classmates and others as the year has gone on. We have become a family based on this book and the first book in the series... Our class has even decided to make our mission statement The Power to Choose! I can't wait for more Danny books! --
Jennifer Lyles, Second Grade Teacher

In my 14 year career as a teacher I have come across many resources to teach social skills, however none of them have been as wonderful as the two What Should Danny Do? books! They motivate my students, and we can refer to them often. When our students are having a problem solving time, we say "What would Danny do?" and the students are able to make the connection between their choice and the book... When a student is having a rough day, we remind them that Danny has the Power to Choose, and so do they. They can turn their day around by changing their choices. --

My 5-year-old son and I absolutely loved *What Should Danny Do? (School Day)! This interactive book brilliantly highlights the importance of making good decisions and understanding the consequences of our daily actions. The engaging story, combined with vibrant illustrations, kept my son captivated and eager to see what choices Danny would make next. It opened up meaningful conversations about decision-making in a fun and relatable way. Highly recommend for parents and kids alike!

We have had some experiences at school that made us purchase this book and it was great with putting situations in context for my 7 year old to understand and he also likes to see how things go when you make all the poor choices. It's not mom just saying these things, it's immersive and he can apply this to his regular life situations. Love it! Want to get more!

This book occupied plenty of time on our most recent road trip. My 6-10 year old read/played together. I do not think it has been touched since we have been home. Amazing for road trips with young children.

We own all the books in this series and will continue to buy them if they make more. While these are helpful for conversations about making good choices, I bought then because my kiddo is a perfectionist and afraid of mistakes. These books give us ways to talk about decisions, consequences, and trying again without actually having to experience it firsthand.

Really useful for kids that need a bit more guidance

I love these books. I have a full of character 6 year old boy and this is our second of the What Should Danny Do books. He absolutely loves them and enjoys reading the good and bad choices and navigating us around the book as its not a simple timeline and I think this adds to the attraction for him. It doesn't escape me that its very simplistic and dare I say contrived, nonetheless I find it helpful in spelling out positive behaviours and the consequences of less positive behaviours in different and very relatable scenarios. Particularly as he can get overexcited and forget sometimes. Its an American book but its easy to change soccer to football and Mom to Mum etc. As he gets older he'll have plenty of opportunites to learn that life is more nuanced but in the meantime this has been helpful.

Very good book
