4.0 out of 5 stars a great story with educational value, fun for kids, and a sweet message
What a lovely and sweet book! It was surprisingly educational too! The illustrations were great and also very colourful, but not too bright. I loved the style of them as well. Very fun for kids! I loved the message that the story told, and also that there was some leaning mixed in! Teaching kids about different types of stones and how wide their use ranges! So fun and so cool! Overall I loved it and would recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars So Relatable
This book hit home because when my son in law passed he always said he’d return as a butterfly. We almost always see a monarch and it always swoops at us. So this bond between father and child is very relatable to me.
3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet message
This is a cute book with sweet message, reminding a daughter that her father will always be there. If she carries a rock she will never be lonely.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Reminder That You Are Loved
A father wishes he were a stone in his daughter's pocket so that he could always be with her to remind her that she is loved and never alone. A sweet sentiment by the author, brought to life by marvelous, retro-looking illustrations by Fred Benaglia. Thanks to Ivy Kids and NetGalley for sharing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful illustrations and a sweet story
A very sweet little picture book. It talks about rocks and stones and all of the special things about them. From mountains to outer space, some rocks are very large and important. Some rocks are just special to us and we can carry them with us. They can be reminders of those we love and sources of comfort!
