5.0 out of 5 stars Still the best
My son learned to tell analog time on one of these in the 1980s and now his daughters are learning it on the one I bought for them (because their school doesn't teach this!). The clock works great -- smooth running gears advance the hour hand as the minute hand is turned (clockwise, of course!), and everything is big enough to be easily seen and controlled by little fingers. Any complaints that the hands don't line up right are totally bogus; the hands are loose enough to "set" them simply by pointing them both at 12:00. Well built, sturdy, and clip on legs so it can stand alone. Some things don't need to be "new and improved"!
5.0 out of 5 stars Telling time
This is my favorite clock to teach time. As a former teacher of elementary students I looked for this clock for my great grand daughter because hours and minutes get different colors and the hands stay in synch. It's a wonderful teaching aid
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
Sturdy. Good quality. The gears work nicely.
5.0 out of 5 stars 80s classroom vibes
I learned to tell time with the Judy clock and am thrilled to use the same tool with my children. Other manipulatives do not space the hour hand, so time in the quarter hour is confusing. Not my girl Judy. Her hands are in the right place and the gears show my children WHY it works this way.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great to teach kids how to read analog.
This tool is great, both the Minute hand and Hour Hand can move independently AND the hour hand can move with the Minute hand as it would on a regular clock. The numbers on the face were easy to read and my 7 & 5 year old play and learn from it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Quality control
I ordered one of these clocks and it came with a chip on the face. I ordered another one and the gears were messed up so it didn’t work properly. Kept the chipped one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Game Changer!!
Judy Clock to the rescue!!! My child was having the worst time while learning to read analog clocks. After 7 total hours of homework trouble, I ordered this clock. The next day it arrived, my son and I worked on it for about an hour… everything clicked for him. Not sure if it’s the vibrant color, the size of the numbers, the hands moving in sync, or everything combined. All I know if that he only got one wrong on his test the next day and it was a simple mistake. He fundamentally understands telling time now and this clock sealed the deal!
5.0 out of 5 stars The clock is just what I needed. It came ...
The clock is just what I needed. It came bundled with other items I ordered & I got it in a timely manner! The face is just what I remember using in the "old days" it's just not made of wood. The gears are there but it's lightweight & made of pressboard. The back is unfinished with just a square panel mounted over the gears. It has 2 detachable lightweight aluminum clips to stand it up. It's a little flimsy but it teaches time!
