I bought this set for my 6 year old that just started reading this past school year, and she loved them! They were really fun to read even though there were a lot of words on each page. My daughter loved them so much that I bought her the next two sets and she is currently reading book 6! She hasn't watched the Netflix show yet, but I want her to finish the first 9 books first. Let her keep her imagination a little while longer.

The books are well-written, humorous, and engaging. The girls have vivid imaginations and get themselves into some hot water with their schemes, which makes them interesting and sympathetic. They are far from perfect little angels, but their camaraderie and loyalty to one another represents the kind of friendships we all hope to find - and sets a fine example. My daughter couldn't wait to check the next book out from the library, and anything that helps her learn to love reading is a hit with me (with the exception of Junie B., whose grammar turns me off completely). A couple of other reviewers seemed to have taken things a bit seriously and over-the-top, when writing about one episode where the girls try their hand at magic. It reminded me of slumber party games with the Ouija board - those girls with the most vivid imaginations can scare themselves and their friends just a little, and that's part of the fun.

We purchased these books for Christmas for our daughters, and they are absolutely hilarious! There is swearing, but I think kids say worse in real life. If they get my kids to read in their spare time it's a win!

Just simply great
My daughter (7 years old) could not put it down. This is her first proper book (not short stories etc) and she enjoys a lot. The font size is appropriate and the distance between lines. The story is good. She finally really enjoys reading
