This is the definitive book on Operation Bernhard; the counterfeiting scheme carried out by concentration camp inmates of Sachsenhausen. It has been lavishly produced and is the state-of-the art as of 2022. This is an important historical aspect of the Holocaust. It is a tour de force written by over a dozen historians and numismatists.It is superbly edited by Kiel Majewski, Joseph Boling, and Danny Spungen. This book needs to be in the library of historians, paper money scholars, persons interested in the history of the Jewish people and of World War II.The book is innovative, well-crafted, and compelling.

We’ve been collecting Bernhard notes for years, so this book was a must have. I was initially hesitant regarding the price, but trust me, it’s well worth it.
