5.0 out of 5 stars Very Readable Book for a Non-Expert (no CPRI coverage)
I'm not an LTE expert, but write software that bumps up against LTE, so I was looking for a book with good explanations for someone that isn't already up to their eyeballs in LTE acronyms. This book fit the bill. It has significantly more detail that I need, but is still sufficiently readable for my use. I see it in the bookshelves of most of my coworkers, as well.It must be a little bit dated (as are all four books I purchased, except for one), as I could find no references to recent developments, such as CPRI, in which I had a special interest. I found Kreher and Gaenger's "LTE Signalling: Troubleshooting and Performance Measurement", published in 2016, had quite a bit of CPRI-related coverage.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive and easy read intro to LTE.
I only read the first chapter and browsed the rest. It covers most concepts of LTE and it seems to explain how protocols and methods work in enough detail for an engineer who has basic communications knowledge. There are a few charts would be better understandable with color use instead of grey scale.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good comprehensive overview
Good read, others in my office have also been checking this out.
4.0 out of 5 stars At this time I think it is the best resource for late release LTE
Well done.
well written book
Really enjoyed reading this book, clear and concise. Hope the author is planning to write a similar book for 5g.
This kind of book....should be...
This kind of book is not well fit to Kindle Paper white I think. The bad thing is that the figures and pictures in the book are not well designed for kindle. The contents should be good though. For non-technical people, better read this on paper print one and can be more understood.Good thing is that you can carry this contents in Kindle and you can read it anywhere. (The real book is much more heavy.)
Comprehensive and well-written
Very comprehensive and well-written. Not dumbed-down but complex areas are clearly signposted to keep readers on track.
