The test books that Scholastic puts out are a great tool for preparing your elementary school child for yearly standardized testing. We use these books one day each week for test practice as well as concept review. I adore the Scholastic test books!

Good for my 1st grader but not enough pages to keep him going. Finished the book too fast. I would have him do 3 pages a day for 5 days a week maybe I should of went slower with him?? This book can be finished in 2 or 3 weeks. In that little time this book was very helpful

すごいワークブックです。
グレード１となっていたので、簡単だろうと思っていましたが、１ページ目から、①The cat sat on a rat. ②The rat sat on a hat.③The hat is on the dog, ④The dog is on a mat.の文を読みましょうという問題です。その次は、like/we/hatsなどの 順を正しく書き直す問題が続き、主語や動詞をえらぶ問題、単数複数などがでてきます。過去形や未来形も文の中に自然に出ていて、ある程度読めるようになった子供が 書く練習に使うワークブックだと思います。この１冊を終えれば、かなりしっかり書けるようになるように作られています。この値段でここまでしっかりできているワークブックはなかなかないと思います。とても充実した内容で お買い得です。

Such a great book for my daughter who’s going to grade 1.
フォニックスが一通り終わったら、これで文法の導入
簡単な文章を読みながら、文法の基本を始めるのにちょうど良い内容です。言語にはルールがあるという概念の導入としてはなかなか手ごろです。Capitalizeはどんな時にするか、名詞と動詞、単数と複数、現在と過去、語順など各ページに学習のポイントが書かれています。始めのうちは指導する立場の人が解説をして、どのように答えるべきか（下線を引く、丸を塗りつぶす、線で結ぶなど）設問の説明が必要ですが、半分くらい進む頃には慣れます。1ページの問題数は多くないのに、一冊(63ページ）終わると文法の基本がかなり身について、次の段階のWritingに進むにはとても役に立ちました。

クイズ形式でやっています。問題形式なので正解ではないものも利用して遊んでいます。基本的なところを再確認できるので子供たちには難しすぎず楽しいようです。
