About this item:
A USA Today bestselling series!
Praise for Game Over, Super Rabbit Boy! (Press Start! #1):
"The fast, repetitive plot uses basic, simple sentences and child-friendly objects of interest, such as lakes of lava, for children working on reading independence, while the nerdy in-jokes benefit adults reading with a child. A strong series start." -- Kirkus Reviews
"A strong addition to most chapter book collections, especially where there are gamers." -- School Library Journal
"The gaming gimmick and graphic layout is sure to appeal to many readers, especially reluctant ones." -- Booklist

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Press Start Book
fantastic addition to the series! The interactive format keeps kids engaged, allowing them to make choices that influence the story. The storyline is both fun and adventurous, perfect for young readers who love gaming. The illustrations are vibrant and complement the narrative beautifully. If you’re looking for a captivating book that encourages decision-making and creativity, I highly recommend this one!
5.0 out of 5 stars My kid loves this
Usually my almost-8 year old only reads Pokemon and Minecraft books. I picked this out for him partly for nostalgia, remembering Choose Your Own Adventure books from my childhood. When he first saw that it wasn’t Pokemon or Minecraft, he wasn’t interested.…But then he looked a little closer and started reading it. He read it enthusiastically, and now he’s reading it again and again with different choices to give different stories. The Bolo page shows that this is for ages 5-7, and that might work well if you’re reading it to them, but this is probably more enjoyable for 7-9+ since they can read it independently.
5.0 out of 5 stars My 1st-grader loves these!
I bought the book on a whim because it looked like it would be right up my son's alley. We have introduced him to graphic novels as an introduction to chapter books. He loved the book so much and thought it was cool that there were alternate endings. I ended up buying him the rest of the series and he devoured them!
5.0 out of 5 stars A great series
My child loves this series and couldn't wait to for the book to arrive. The book was finished it in a day and we are waiting for the next one to come out.
5.0 out of 5 stars great addition to a great series
The only thing I can complain about is that my 7yo would not stop reading for days because he needed to figure out how to get to the best ending, and he wanted my opinion on the best ending, too.We love the Press Start series very much.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Grandson!
My daughter-in-law found these books and my Grandson LOVES them. As a Grandma I feel one of my jobs is to share a love of reading. I added the author to my "Following" list and buy every new one for My 8 year old grandson. He gets so excited when a new one comes! Well worth every dime! When he was younger, my son read them to Ro. Now he can read them himself.
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!
Beat it first try!
3.0 out of 5 stars Fun book but false advertising
9 year old boy loves this series.. he was so excited that it was different from the rest that he could choose what happens next... it reminds me of the goosebumps books in the 90s... he's read it several times picking different options... only problem is it advertises tv series on peacock but the series is not actually on peacock. Very upsetting.
Fun !
Great for elementary kids !
Perfect for gaming fans!
My 6 year old is gaming-mad and loves to read, so this is the absolute perfect book series for him! He has read every book from the series and loved each one. The right level for his reading age and kept him engaged throughout.
Great buy!
As expected! Would recommend!
A Fun Read for Press Start Fans
Our 4 year old loves the Press Start series and now he is loving the opportunity to choose how the storyline goes. Compared to other Press Start books (if you are familiar with them) there isn’t much written content on each page until you navigate your way to the main storyline and find King Viking. The nice thing about this book is there are choices of where to go on each page and the choices are picture based so kids don’t have to be good readers yet to navigate through the book. It is a good book for beginning readers but still appealing to Press Start fans. There are mazes to solve and navigate throughout the book that will challenge young readers and their memory and can be a great way for parents to teach numbers, number order and how to navigate through a book. I would rate this a 4 because a little more action and content for some of the side adventure choices would make this book even better.
