5.0 out of 5 stars 63 Beautiful Coloring Designs based on the Disney artwork of Thomas Kinkade (includes color photos as well)

I will also upload a few pages in photos to show how the book is put together.I own and really like both of the prior Kinkade coloring books but this one has to be my favorite. I am a fan both of his artwork and of Disney in general, so this book combines two of my favorites things. On top of that, I really like the way that illustrators interpreted the designs in this coloring book. Where the first two books had very sketch-like designs, in this book, much of the design is done is straight-forward line drawing. It will be much easier to color because of it. I find that I like the drawings in this book much more than the most recent Disney coloring books.Many of my favorite classic movies are included and there are also many of the newer sequel film characters included as well. The first thing I did after looking through this book was to go back on-line and order more copies to give away as gifts this holiday season. I know that they will be a big hit among my family and friends.This is the third Thomas Kinkade coloring book in this series and the first one to feature his Disney artwork. The books are published by Posh and follow the same format. The size of the book is the same as is the texture of the paper. The paper in this book is soft white.The designs are printed on the right hand side of with the color photo of the actual painting on the left hand side (i.e., opposite each other in the book.) This will allow me to look at the photo of the real painting while I am coloring my own. Certain coloring medium will bleed through and can ruin the colored designs (see below.) I purchased a second copy to keep the photos pristine as I work with alcohol-based markers most of the time.Here is what I experienced while coloring in this book and testing the paper with my medium:63 Thomas Kinkade Disney designs with 63 color photos as wellDesigns printed on one side of the page with a photo on the back of the page.Paper is soft white, very slightly rough, non-perforated and medium weight.Designs stop before the binding area but unfinished elements are left on all four sides of the design which does not have a framing line.Glue BoundPages can be cut out without loss of designs. I don't plan to do so as I want to keep the continuity of the colored picture and design together.Alcohol-based markers bleed through the paper.Water-based markers leave shadows of color (with some spotting through) on the back of the page except for the brush end of dual-end Tombow markers which did not leak through.India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page.Gel pens do not bleed through.Colored pencils work well with this paper. I tested both oil and wax based pencils and was able to get good results from both. I got good pigment (especially with multiple layers of the same color.) I was able to layer different colors and to blend easily using a blending stick.If you decide to use markers, you will probably have some amount of bleed-through onto the back of the page. I recommend using a heavyweight sheet of paper or card stock below your working page. That will keep ink from damaging the next design below.

I love this book! It is so nice having a reference right there. It is such a big help for me to improve my color pencil skills. I do wish that instead of the lines being black, they were light grey so they weren't so prominent and in some of the pictures they are really thick for some reason and the black parts are filled in with black so I think it will be hard to give highlights. Also, some of the white sparkles are outlined, not sure how I'll make those look white... But overall I still give it a 5 because the quality is so good. The paper is good thickness and since the reference picture is on every other page, there's no back to back problems. Really nice.

I gave this as a gift to my Disney-loving niece for Christmas and she loved it. Her mom also loved it. The pictures inside are beautiful and it's the only Disney coloring book that we have found like this. I highly recommend this for anyone in your life that loves Disney and coloring!

I absolutely love these books I did not end up coloring them. Instead I carefully removed the pages and trimmed them down. Then I laminated these to ensure they stay good if and when I reorganize! I am going to frame a few to hang around my house too!

These are BEAUTIFUL. Kiddo had surgery and we needed something to keep them distracted. Coloring was our solution. Let me tell you. These are amazing. The details. The creativity that was unleashed. So vibrant. Love that that it allows you to be creative but it also shows his work. The details are there but it’s also simple drawings which is nice! I love the variety to the Disney selection. Things I didn’t think I’d see, things I expected, all great! The price is a bit much but your buying two big names.

Que o livro é lindo e de ótima qualidade todo mundo já disse. Vale reproduzir em folha avulsa e deixar o livro de molde. Envio umas fotos para vcs repararem q são como quadros pintados (veja a textura de tela). Os frames não são exatamente iguais aos dos filmes! É realmente muito interessante. Vale a espera (pq demora a chegar, viu?)! Boas pinturas!

Con hojas de alta calidad e impresiones igualmente buenas, es un magnífico libro para colorear pero también para contemplar las muestras ya coloreadas, sus hojas resistentes permiten la utilización de varías técnicas de coloreo e incluso de pintura sin dañar la hoja, las muestras permiten no solamente obtener paletas de colores, ofrecen propuestas de texturas, sombras y otras técnicas para aquellos que quieren un reto más grande y tienen el equipo para hacerlo.Por un excelente precio es un excelente regalo, no solamente para niños, cualquier fan de Disney recordará con nostalgia su infancia en presencia de éste magnífico libro.

Wenn man ein Walt Disney Fan ist, wird man von diesem Buch nicht enttäuscht sein!Viele Details die zum Ausmalen da sind. Man kann die Bilder gestalten, als wären sie aus den Film und auch so wie man will. Male in diesem Buch immer wenn ich eine Auszeit habe.
