About the Author
Elwyn Hartley Edwards was one of the most respected equestrian authors of the twentieth century. He edited Riding magazine for 18 years and wrote more than 30 books on horses and horsemanship. In addition to his equestrian knowledge he was also an expert on saddlery. In 1993 the British Horse Society gave him its Award of Merit. Edwards passed away in 2007 at the age of 80.

I love this book! I had a version of it growing up and bought it for myself recently when I was feeling nostalgic. It is filled with amazing photos and great information about breeds. It's a good gift book or a book for people wanting to learn about breeds, I mostly just want to look at the pictures!

Came on time and in perfect condition. It has perfect quality and is very sturdy. It is a very huge book and is somewhat heavy. It is very informative on horses and all horse breeds. It is very detailed and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about horses.

Once again DK does not disappoint. I ordered this book for my niece’s 16th birthday as she loves horses. The book is beautifully laid out and has loads of colour pictures and information relating to numerous horse breeds. Great value for money.
