5.0 out of 5 stars Great book to prep for the NREMT!
I believe this is one of the best books to review for the NREMT! I was recommended this book by a friend that is a paramedic and it definitely is a great refresher!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Study Guide.
This book is a must-have if you are preparing for the EMT National Registry exam. My husband studied this book everyday for a week up until he took the test and he passed. He said there is a lot of useful information in this book and a lot of practice tests to take.
5.0 out of 5 stars This is a tool not an answer key
It's a great tool to sum up what one needs to know. It's not in detail. One still needs to do their reading in their textbook and do questions affiliated with their textbook. This is just more questions. Which ultimately is great. It's an idea on what you need to know about but not an actual guideline. It did help me pass my emt course which is great. It gave me more questions than what was provided to me in school. Stick your states protocols and know them. National can be vague or not too specific. I will say try the pocket emt for more questions to supplement this and your reading. Because one really needs more questions to learn how to approach scenarios. Also one needs to look at case studies and chapter assessments. These are key to training the mind and applying knowledge from the reading. Note, ems is not social studies or history. You don't regurgitate facts often. You may have to learn how to think on your feet and learn what to do when there's a particular presentation on your patient. Once one learns this method of thinking then there's the language of EMS. Learning the terminology and lingo will help one do report and also understand questions better. Be wary of the words not and except. Other than that I wish you the best and hope you do well in your exams.
3.0 out of 5 stars Some aspects are outdated
Overall this is a very good book. But some ideas seem outdated. Just got done with bleeding section and States to protect airway before a massive hemorrhage (ABC) . While classes teach (XABC) addresses the exaggerating bleeding first before anything else. Also several typos in the test section where I actually got the questions right and there needs to be more explanation on answers for the questions.
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR EMT PREP
This is a great book for people who want to take their EMT class to the next step. I have not used it to take the NREMT yet but I think that it will be a big help.
