5.0 out of 5 stars Great book
Great book tons of information
5.0 out of 5 stars Clear and concise
This book was super helpful in preparing for the FireTeam test. It includes all of the necessary information, with chapters relating to each section of the exam. It helps with general mechanical and logical reasoning, and has great practice tests and feedback on why a response may be preferred. Good to use in the months preceding your exam, but too dense to rush through in less than a few weeks.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Well-Worth Near Death Experience
This book helped me understand fire in ways I would have never expected. Not only did I learn more about the many different dynamic inner complexities a Fire possesses, but also I began to learn and understand the prominent role it holds within our society. The more I read, the more my views towards fire began to dramatically shift. I was starting to look at Fire rather as a friend than a foe. With every turn of the page, I would watch as my fingers slid underneath the uncoated stock, gently opening the paperback door for me to join in on another beautiful learning adventure with my good friend: Fire. With a newfound look towards life and our relationship, I began to hope that sooner, rather than later, she would open up her arms to me…and violently incinerate me so I wouldn’t need to do another proportional fraction problem ever again. All jokes aside: the book did get the job done. While the math was egregiously difficult… and those 2 hour practice exams had me wanting to push a pencil through my skull…I was able to go in vastly over-prepared for the cake walk that was the real exam. So uhhhh yeah, I’d recommend it haha
5.0 out of 5 stars Great book
My son used it for school. Great information
5.0 out of 5 stars Helped me to pass
I used this book and the Baron's 2017 edition and in March 2019 I passed with a 85% and was rank 29 for my city in New Jersey. I took the test in November 2018. From the general knowledge, math and maps it all helped out and I was more than ready for the written exam since I was studying both books since May 2018.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
A great book to use to get ready for the exams!! Easy to understand also
3.0 out of 5 stars Too advanced
If your looking for a book to really explain and work out the problems, this book is not for you. Also, a lot of the problems in this book are very advanced for what the test really consist of. If your taking a exam with New York, or some California departments, this book will probably serve you well. However for the rest of us, this book will simply be too advanced for the real problems your going to encounter. The Math section in this book does a good job of letting you know what you need to study, but again, the explanations simply suck, and are very hard to follow.I suggest you try, Smoke Your Firefighter Written Exam. This book really explains in detail every problem and how to solve them by taking baby steps. Really a good book.Keep in mind that almost all of these books are going to consist of the same material. The difference is how the problems are explained. I suggest you buy at least 2 books to study which should give you a good medium somewhere in between.
Very good prep
Excellent prep tool. I had minimal time to prepare for my exam and this helped me focus on the things I needed help with. I passed my exam and would recommend this book
very informative!!!!!
Very helpful in preparing for testing - I bought this book to study prior to attending Texas A&M Fire Recruit Training Academy and I learned a lot! Arrived in good time as well!

Must have study guide, this helped me out a lot prior to my first and only written exam. 100% helped me get the job.
