It may be 40 yeears old but the basic axioms for running and managing a business still apply. However, the tax recommendations are out dated, as tax laws have changed signifigantly, and are outdated.

Of all the books I have read on finance, this is the one I remember best. Dr. Levin was a favorite professor in the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at UNC-Chapel Hill for being so down to earth with a topic that people love to complicate – MONEY. In this book you will find a quick, easy, common sense approach to managing business finances that is easy to absorb. The take-aways from this book are basic yet powerful, from “Cash is King” and “Follow the Cash” to “Buying Low and Selling High.”I'm so glad this book is back in print and offered at such a reasonable price.

I first bought this years ago. There is a reason Dick Levin has a following. Some of the prices are dated, but the concepts are timeless. Read it and profit. Great book But $4000.00 at the lowest price on Bolo? Wow! Makes me thing the best thing to do is sell my copy on Bolo. Truth be told, I bought this in the UNC book store. It was the required text for Prof. Levin's class. I was an entrepreneur in those days and owned my own company. The book was pure common sense. But don't discount common sense. It is the rarest quality of all.

There is bad information from a previous reviewer. This is NOT the book being touted by WSD. Do not buy this book, thinking it's the one with the "hidden plan for wealth", and buy low sell high investing secrets. That's a different book.This book is best described by the other reviewers here. It's a great book on finance, easy to understand.
