I really liked this book because Josh added real world lessons of what he went through. I also liked that he has different clients information about there struggles and success. Josh really went into a lot of details about every little step to take and he explains why. This book is great for digitial marketing but he also talks alot about business devlopment. How you need to set up the right processes and procedures. This book is also a good book for business owners as well. He talks about sales, marketing, and how to set things up right the first time.

If you are interested in the starting a digital marketing agency then this is excellent book for you to read. Joshua does a good job of providing you a road map of what do to have a successful marketing agency. He also runs a youtube channel that I am now subscribed to which he does interviews. This stuff is great because it reinforces what he mentions , in the book , adds to his authority and give you other cool nuggets that are not in the book. Like most of business books he does have a course that he is pitching but for this book it is not as aggressive as some other books I have read, so decided to not take off a star. Overall if you are thinking about starting an agency this is a great starting point. If you have an agency and not where you want to be I believe this book will set you straight. It is had a ton of value and action steps for you to take to make your agency better. I highly recommend it !

The author, an experienced expert, provides genuine value in this book. He offers a comprehensive, step-by-step guide filled with numerous examples, references to valuable companies, and a number of tools to implement in a digital marketing strategy.

This is a good book for new agency owners and there is a lot good info in there no matter what level you're at. However I think a lot of the technology and other suggestions e stations are slightly dated. If you just understand the concepts in this book and apply them, you'll do well.

My review is beyond 5 stars. Already a successful agency looking for the forest through the trees and FINALLY, after 15 years, this book showed me a picture of that forest!! As a generalist agency owner with a team and great clients, it has always been my challenge as to where to market my services. Do you have any idea how many persona workshops I've been through? Demographic research? Service niches I'd tried...?I was only 5 pages in on this book and couldn't put it down. In just 3 weeks, I identified a niche business, built a model around what Josh wrote about, and have it in action as of right now! I have not yet reached out to Josh, but I will... to thank him.This brings me to the 1-star reviews here... You have to be a certain level of agency for this book to make sense for you. This is not a 'DIY' agency roadmap for you kids out of college getting started. You need to be established, at least a little. Yes, Josh has a consulting service, which I may use.. but trust me you 'established guys'... the book has everything you need.

I met Josh in-person for the first time in late 2016 at a Power Day where he shared every aspect of what his company was doing to provide results to his clients. One thing I liked about this book is that the author gets right to the point. There is no fluff. Some key takeaways:1.Find a niche and stick with it2. Many online resources were recommend that I've never heard of: hunter.I'm for validating email addresses, upwork.com, for outsourcing work you can't or don't want to do, yext.com, for consolidating posts on social media sites and more3. Offer presentation process: A) identify problem B)show how problems directly impact their profits C) solve the problem D) then present the price of your serviceHis other steps are also presented in simple and easy to follow steps, which makes this book worth the time to read and digest.

A must read for market business owner
Josh describes incredible well an easy to understand step by step on how to get away from the mess that most marketing agencies struggle on daily basis to a more organized way to run this kind of business.
Amazing book changed my mindset completely.
You must read it. It is very nice book.Most important learning i got from this book is running business at small scale and running business on large scale is completely different to run on large scale you have to stop doing 80% of things and start focusing on few things only and become specialist in those few things you must ensure that you are the best in those few things in the world.

Just the basics, nothing special. Would recommend "Agencynomics" or "Build Grow Repeat" for people searching for agency books that are great.

Having watched, read, listened and attended webinar after webinar from various "gurus" in the agency space, Josh Nelsons book was a complete breathe of fresh air. While most others seemingly leave important details out of everything that building a legitimate agency entails, Josh has left no stone un-turned. For anyone either looking to build a LEGIT marketing agency, this book is a must read. Not only is the information practical and the book filled to actionable steps that you can use today, but Josh has himself built a successful agency, which he still runs to this day.In this day and age, it is difficult to find teachers and mentors who "walk the talk", but Josh is certainly that. Whether you are just starting out, or have an existing agency that you'd like to grow and scale, this book is a certainly one that must be part of your library.
