Ferne Bowe is a parent, marketing professional, and author of Life Skills for Young Adults & Life Skills for Tweens.With two kids of her own, she has first-hand experience with the challenges and triumphs of raising a teen.While watching her kids growing up, she noticed the gap between the skills kids need to thrive in the real world and what they are taught in school. I love this book I think everyone who is 18+ should get there hands on this it gives a lot of good tips and ones that you never thought about until you read the book. Overall I would totally recommend this book I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

This is a great book full of life skills. the opening up managing your money and budgeting. The book is full of 100 everyday life skills that we need in order to function. ones that we might not have been taught growing up. the most significant chapter for me was on the money and I had to deal with stress and anxiety.

Bought for my God daughter who is starting out life. I wish they would teach this in school. Has great tips not only for young adults but adults as well.

Some of the information is inaccurate or out of date such as the food pyramid. Much of should have been learned long before they are ready to leave home. But some of it such as the simple recipes and the cleaning solutions are useful. I wish the author had spent a little time to address teens with disabilities and other special circumstances. All in all a decent book but the author could have done so much more.

I love this book! It's extremely useful. With two teens and a tween, this book is filled with information that people of this age just don't know (because they're not taught it). It certainly fills in the gap!When it comes to my teenagers, this book prompted me to talk more about issues we don't usually talk about - especially the money issues. Although we cook together, it was good to have this as a reference for some basic meals and kitchen safety. My daughter is at the age when she will be ready to move out and we've realised how little she knows - but now she has this handy little guidebook.
