I enjoyed reading this book. You have to accept some coincidence and unlikely things, but that's okay, its the story. Unusual plot, distasteful characters. None of them were actually likable, but that made the story better, actually. Worth a read.

Reviewing isn’t for amateurs, I’m an amateur. Sometimes this book was 2 stars sometimes 4 stars. The recapping of a situation by another character was repetitious apposed to interesting. Basically the story was intriguing.

It started kind of slow, but by part 2 of the book I was hooked! The different viewpoints of the other characters made the book even better. I definitely recommend this book!

Another reviewer summed up the ending of this book as "abrupt and predictable". I will add "disappointing". The writer could have made the ending worthy of all the time the reader put into reading this book by adding an ending that would have been jaw dropping. This was not, nor was the epiloge.

Just when you think there can't be a neighborhood with more drama then yours you read this book! Alison James I'd becoming one of my favorite authors!

I kept waiting for the big twist that never came. I agree with other reviewers - too many characters. So many loose ends. The back of the book gives the whole story away. Lots of repeated conversations. Waste of a read.

What a disappointment. I didn’t get past 25% of the book by which time nothing had happened. The writing style doesn’t connect to the characters - its abstract and narrative. And the plot is weak - at least the first 25% is.

Eine völlig an den Haaren herbeigezogene, unglaubwürdige Story mit absurden Zufällen, durchwegs unsympathische Protagonisten und ein schwacher Schreibstil. Ist sein Geld nicht wert.
