When my daughter, aged 10, asked about cats cradle I immediately thought of this book from my childhood. How funny that I found the same exact one 20+ years later! Same. Exact. Book! She was so excited when we got it and though I was skeptical (she’s heavily into video games) she immediately loved this game and was so eager to learn all of the combinations? Configurations? I don’t know what you’d call them, but she mastered even Jacob’s ladder within a couple of days, and then worked to perfect her technique and speed.The only downside is that she got through them so quickly, but I’m sure if she’s anything like me she will keep the book for reference as she continues to play with the string. Great fidget, I was blown away it kept her attention all day for multiple days!

My 10 year old wanted to learn cats cradle so I got this book for her! She loved it and learned how to do most of them! Great for any beginner of any age!
Nostalgia!
Got this to try out for my 8 year old as I remember spending hours doing cats cradle as a kid. It came with the perfect string as well as clear step by step instructions with pictures. It also includes the teacup & saucer, witches broom, Jacob’s ladder, etc. My son was really proud of himself when he got the hang of it and loves it! Brought back a lot of memories for me!
Too complicated for a kid

Kept my daughter entertained
Nice to buy some of these old school toys sometimes and watch the excitement of children's minds. Although you can just get any piece of yarn and make it yourself, this came with a book which has pictures and 'how to make' other cats cradle shapes with your hands. Kept my little one busy for a while, she is 9 and often gets it out when she is bored so we can play. Bit expensive for what it is, but worth it in terms of the time she has spent playing with it.
Tricky!
Harder than expected

I already have this book. This one is for a young friend who wants to learn string tricks and is learning English. The pictures are good and the English is fairly easy. I already have string for him made from paracord. I was expecting a used book in pretty good shape. The book is out of print, so I wasn't expecting a brand new book, still with the string, but that is what I got and for a better price than the new copies in the US. Very happy.
