I wish my skills as an artist was as goid as the paper. Good price point.
5.0 out of 5 stars ARTEZA Watercolor Paper, Pack of 2, 32 Sheets Each, 9x12 Inch
I enjoy getting to know different papers, and have come to trust they all have something to offer if I am curious and open. I feel my art therapy process is greatly improved by experimenting and forming my own opinions based on my own experience and play. I like to have some "cheap" "throwaway" papers in my supply to help reduce my learned fear of "wasting" supplies. And guess what? I have painted some of my favorites on this paper because of how fearless I can be with it. How your artistic process combines with this cellulose (not cotton) paper will depend on your goals. I am healing through art, and I enjoy watching paints travel through water on this paper.PS, it loves being stretched (many videos will teach you how if you are interested), and will stay flat if that is what you seek in a paper. Reader, to paraphrase Vonnegut, art is how you grow your soul! Best of luck to you finding your favorite art supplies!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I love the shape! This is all I've been using for watercolor and colored pencil. Both do great. It is glued all the way around the pad so there is no reason to tape it down. I use a thin bladed kitchen knife to get the page off the pad when I'm finished. It warps slightly when very wet but dries flat and doesn't leak through to the next page. I think it's amazing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic deal on fantastic paper!
I'm new to watercolor painting and I realized that I was becoming hesitant to paint because all I had was expensive (a gift) watercolor paper. I was feeling like I was "wasting" it on beginner tutorials. So, I decided to buy paper that was more in line with where I was at. I purchased this 2-pack about a month ago. I have never had that feeling since. Yesterday, I finished the first pad. I have done so much painting in the last month! It's so liberating to have this much paper that was so inexpensive! But, don't let the price fool you. I love this paper! I'm ordering it again so I never run out, or even have to worry about running out. It's very easy to make lots of smaller sheets from one sheet. I didn't use scissors. I just folded it back and forth a few times and then tore it. I like those edges better than scissor cut edges. The paint (Shinhan tubes) goes down nicely and dries nicely. I don't use tape to hold my paper down because I like to rotate and tip my paintings as I'm working on them. There is some warping but it mostly dries flat. If there's still some warping, I just put a big on top after it's dry. Voila! No regrets here. Paint on!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great except for glued edges
The paper quality was great, I decided to try Arteza’s watercolor paper because my usual brand increased in price. Overall, the paper is fine and has good texture. Sometimes though it seems like the paper struggles to absorb water in certain spots though, I’m not sure why. This paper pad comes with the pages attached to a glue strip (which is normal) but when you try to remove pages, which is what this pad is supposed to be for, it leaves pieces of the glue on the edge. I guess it’s not a big deal but for me it’s very annoying to have to sit there and try to pick off the glue. If you are a hobby artist or beginner I think this paper is fine for you.
5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite watercolor paper
Order came in record time and this is very heavy water color paper and works great with my Daniel Smith watercolor paints and I also use with Distress inks and oxides for card making and art.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gret deal
I had heard about what a great deal this paper was, but being a big fan of Bee paper and Arches i was sceptical. It went on sale so I decided to try it out, and I'm not disappointed. It's great for practice, or studies, and especially well for gouache. My only complaint is that the paper peels if i need to lift colors or if i add too many layers. The texture pattern stamped in is too uniform and looks unnatural and cheap as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beginner Friendly!
I came across these watercolor paper-pads when I was on a search to buy art supplies for my nephew. He has always been artistically inclined so for Christmas I figured I would get him something to begin drawing or using paints on. The paper itself is a nice texture, and I can tell that it will be quite easy to paint on.Obviously, the price for a pack of two was something that I felt was very reasonable. Along with the quality of the paper I know that it will hold up well when my nephew starts to use It.
