My 10 year old daughter bought this book for a non fiction book report. The story was easy to follow and enjoyable to read, and she loved learning about such a strong and inspiring woman. We love everything by Rebel Girls!

Sarah Breedlove was a captivating woman who jumps from the page in this middle grade chapter book. The strength and determination that she had is inspiring to readers of all ages. Although the book was full of facts and information, it read smoothly like a story, a perfect way to read non-fiction! There was also illustrated pictures woven throughout the book which allowed me as a reader to really envision the scenes. Thank you to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for a gifted copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

I was first introduced to Madam C.J. Walker, the first self made female millionaire from the Netflix series. Her story is something I should have been familiar with long before, and I am glad this book will introduce her determination and spirit to young audiences.Madam C.J. Walker, a black female, used her success to empower her community and to improve the wellbeing and lives of others. I look forward to this book continuing her legacy with all who read it.The book has beautiful illustrations to accompany the incredible Madam C.J. Walker story.

Very nice book, well written, easy to read with fantastic illustration. I recommend it for even children as adults. I wish to give it to everybody's hand.
