About the Author
Born with subpar physical traits and intelligence, the formative years of LUV TULSIDAS were filled with challenges. He hustled his way from a tiny paradise island in Africa to a decent engineering university in the US without a high school degree. Entering the corporate world at the dawn of the new millennium, he joined Hertz―the car rental giant, and led the development of their e-commerce platform from 0 to $5 Billion in annual revenue. Luv’s natural ability to dream big and do bold got him pretty far, and was the catalyst for him starting a company that went on to earn a reputation for innovation done right. In 2019, his brainchild Techolution won the prestigious Inc. 500 award for being one of the fastest-growing companies in America. I originally bought this book to help gain mastery in my role as a Product Leader in the finance industry. I was only really looking to read chapters 3, 8, 9, 10 and 11. While these chapters have been instrumental in helping me prioritize the optimal features for my product and how to correctly choose the right day 1 customer to ensure success, this book has guided me in more ways than 1.As a mother of a soon-to-be college-bound teenager, I'm keenly aware of the significant financial and time commitments involved in their education. Chapter 2, 3, 4 and 7 has given me the knowledge I needed to have informed discussions with my son to determine if his chosen major/passion aligns with what the world will most need when he hits the job market. Now, “be a seeker and not a bullshitter” has become our favorite family quote. Whenever someone, yes including adults, assumes or makes blind arguments, we jovially invoke the quote which avoids contention and leads to healthy introspection.Lastly as I was going through challenges in my career, the Daily Success Sheet that the author shares in this book has helped me bring focus to myself and helped me determine what matters most and what I need to do daily for me to be successful. Highly recommend this book to anyone aspiring to innovate themselves, their product or their company!!!Oh and added plus, the book is beautiful to look at! The only adult book I have read that is filled with colorful graphics that make complex topics easier to understand.

Each chapter ends with a takeaway and has charts, graphs, and other visual tools to aid comprehension. The best takeaway for me was from the author's personal account when he lost his father at an young age to cancer. It made him realise that life is short and to reach one's goal one must hurry.

I would have liked to see more context on some of the strategies the author mentions but I found this book quite interesting, and I learned new concepts that will help me out with new technologies. This makes it easy to connect with the story and I realized where the authors knowledge came from. I learned a lot about life, leadership and strength in this book.

I’m no executive or entrepreneur but I do have leadership qualities that from reading this I’m hopeful I can develop to grow my career. In all honesty whatever your background this is an interesting insightful read.It’s written in a way that combines theory and factual case studies. This style of writing makes the read informative but also keeps the readers attention throughout.Although this talks about the 10 steps for success there are 13 chapters. I read this in stages but found it easy to just pick the book up where I left off. I certainly enjoyed this and feel I have gained from reading. Certainly would recommend.

A lot of books these days tell you what you should and shouldn't do regardless of it's relativity to the target audience which is why I particularly liked how organized the content is.You have chapters divided into 3 major categories, each chapter ends with a 'Your key takeaways or your notes' section, giving you time and space to think 💬 - an inclusive experience with the author. I don't have to sit with a dictionary/google to read (which I am grateful for). The page is not too crowded, has suitable examples, graphical representations, highlighted suggestions, tips and recommendations for almost all the segments of people out there.The author has shared a huge part of his life failures that most business leaders don't feel confident to talk about just so, that you don't repeat the 'BS' mindset.As a Talent Match Specialist, I personally resonate with chapters 6, 9 and 13. Working hard+smart, identifying and honing your 'wow' features and go fast and far together with the 'right' people.
