My sister-in-law doesn't like asking for things, so when it comes to Christmas, she's pretty vague. BUT. Along came this product. She love LOTR, AND she loves to KNIT! This item's existence is so random, but was so utterly perfect for her! She loved it!

Exactly as pictured. I'm a newbie to knitting and this has a decent amount of beginner friendly patterns. Eases you into learning new terms and new techniques. Definitely has the LOTR vibes down.

Got this book at a great price, it was carefully packed and rapidly shipped by Bolo. The book is full of amazing patterns that I can see myself making. I got the hard-back version and the cover is clean and colorful with lovely gold printing and accents. However... the entire book was assembled into the cover upside down and backwards! I'm enough of a Geek to appreciate this, but it may put someone else off.

I saw someone post here about bad lore. I don't usually write reviews, but had to write one after seeing that because I completely disagree. This book is an UNOFFICIAL book, which probably means there were parameters the author had to work with. Being a big LOTR fan (both books and movies), I found it well researched, accurate, nicely written, and loved all the projects. I like that there are some easy projects, some advanced, and plenty for an intermediate knitter like myself. I hope the author writes a sequel because this was the best Tanis Gray book yet. I would say GREAT LORE!

Das Buch ist wirklich spitze mit jeder Menge wunderschöner Projekte....schöne Bilder....gut beschrieben und erklärt.Das Buch ist gebunden und damit auch noch mal ein extra Genuss.Es macht Spaß es zu halten, darin zu blättern zu träumen und genießen...Wie auf dem Foto vom Inhaltsverzeichnis ersichtlich....gibt es unterschiedliche Schwierigkeitsgrade....Es können also viele Stricker mit unterschiedlicher Erfahrung ein Projekt finden.Gut ist, dass es auch Strickschriften gibt!!Bei englisch sprachen Büchern ja leider wirklich keine Selbstverständlichkeit.Ganz ehrlich...Ich bin von dem Buch hin und weg....total begeistert.Am liebsten würde ich ein Projekt nach dem nächsten daraus nachstricken.Aus Begeisterung würde ich am liebsten noch viel mehr Sterne vergeben.Den Abzug begründe ich mit dem Chaos bei Bolo.Ich habe das Buch vor einem Jahr vorbestellt....Es sollte im Spätherbst heraus kommen. Das hat sonst eigentlich immer gut funktioniert.Das Datum rückt näher und warte auf das Buch...bloß um festzustellen dass die Bestellung storniert wurde.Also noch mal bestellt...zusammen mit einem weiteren Buch....Irgendwann waren dann beide angeblich bei mir in der Region- man hatte sie nicht zustellen können- aber wo die Bücher 📚 letztendlich waren...habe ich nie erfahren. Nach mehreren Tagen Wartens- wo natürlich auch kein Buch angekommen ist- bekam ich nur den lapidar Hinweis das Buch erneut zu bestellen.Also auf zu runde 3!!Das andere Buch ist pünktlich angekommen...Dieses sollte statt noch im Dezember....Jetzt Ende Januar eintrudeln- vielleicht.Wenn man das Buch allerdings zu diesem Zeitpunkt aufgerufen hat...stand darunter- auf Lager. Und eine voraussichtliche Lieferung von ein paar Tagen.Das war ok.Also selbst storniert und erneut bestellt.Ist ja auch schon vorgekommen dass es in den Abläufen einiges verhakt hat...Bis ich dann bei Bestellbestätigung ein völlig anderes Lieferdatum bekam...voraussichtlich bis im JUNI 24..Aß Telefonat mit dem Kundenservice war dementsprechend dass ich meine Bestellung bei Bolo umgehend komplett storniert habe.Das Buch war bei einem anderen Anbieter eigenartiger Weise innerhalb von ca 2 Wochen erhältlich.Das ist mir bisher so bei Bolo noch nicht passiert. Ich bin ziemlich enttäuscht.
