5.0 out of 5 stars Ensemble Love
This is a charming story about a group therapy crowd finding hope and moving on after deep psychological trauma. Each character was portrayed truly and their situations give insights of what it’s really like to try again. I was surprised and pleased by the multiple love stories. The psychological concerns were treated authentically and the Godly references were not overbearing. A heartwarming read.
5.0 out of 5 stars A memorable story about the power of relationships and hope of second chances
This is a unique and moving story that beautifully weaves the struggles of five members of group therapy with the struggles of the therapist. The book demostrates the humanity and universality of our flaws, the impact of trauma and the strength of the human spirit. Presenting the therapist's process is brilliant and shines a light on therapists not being all knowing and the ways in which therapy is a two way street. The book engages the reader from the very first line and that continues all through the book until the very last line. Despite the painful narratives of the characters, this is a feel good book that makes you truly believe in the possibilty of second chances, the healing powers we carry within ourselves and the healing power of relationships. Beautifully crafted and a story I will not forget.
5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging and uplifting

5.0 out of 5 stars Unlocking painful secrets leads to a fuller life.
Darlene Corbett's first book, "Stop Depriving the World of You," is a personal guide to getting unstuck. Her latest work, the novel, "Visible," portrays a group of five appealing but troubled people who come together in therapy to unlock painful secrets that release them to a fuller, more heartfelt life. Learning to trust themselves and one another, they are unaware that their beloved therapist, Rachel, faces a parallel challenge in her own life. "Visible" is the unfolding saga of tender, vulnerable and caring seekers in an inspiring story of hope and grace. Written with style and compassion, this debut novel is a must-read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting and inspiring!
A story about overcoming life's challenges and losses, this book was a delight to read. The characters were likeable and the main character really had me rooting for her! It's a great beach read! Highly recommend!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars A compelling interweaving of characters
This beautifully written story tackles the challenge of interweaving several characters with a variety of personalities and life issues...and tackles it successfully. At the center is Rachel, the therapist, a deeply sensitive yet wounded woman who hardly dares hope for herself, even as she valiantly helps her clients achieve breakthroughs. By the end of the book, you'll feel like you know (and cheer for) all of the characters, including Rachel. Very inspiring!
5.0 out of 5 stars A deeply satisfying read.
What could be more satisfying than a page-turner novel with a relatable hero who overcomes enormous obstacles? Well, this book has six! Darlene Corbett masterfully weaves together the intimate stories of 6 people struggling to resolve heart-breaking issues arising from different emotional (and physical) traumas. Who will succeed, and who will not be able to get on with living their life to its fullest?A testament to the compassion and resilience of the human spirit, Visible is not about suffering in silence and just getting by. It is a refreshing tale about healing soul wounds and learning to thrive in a broken world - with the love and support of a few authentic friends facing challenges of their own.Spiritually uplifting, with many powerful life lessons, be sure to pack this book in your summer vacation bag. Better yet, read it now and be inspired to start settling your own unresolved issues (we all have them!) right away. You can thank me later!
