5.0 out of 5 stars Best Journaling diary and notebook
I love Moleskine journals. I have found the XXL is the best size. Quite simply it is the size of a piece of standard copy paper. It provides plenty of room to stretch out write charts graphs etc...I love dotted. Allows me freedom for charts and drawings yet a faint source of guidance for keeping my writing neat. I like dotted over grid because its just enough without boxing me in.I hope they never stop making the XXL dotted. Now some complai. Paper is thin. It isn't but...no it is not like standard paper. If you get a cheap journal at cvs it will have thicker paper but to write on Moleskine paper is like tasting a fine chef meal. Its just....different. can you use a sharpie on it? No. But I almost like a bit of ghosting in my journal amd the feel of the pen impression. It gives an old world handmade paper feel to it. The size is easy to fit into a backpack and the paper doesn't add extra weight. Think of it like a spiral bound book with no pesky spiral. It lays flat and you can BEND BACK THE FLAP YES!!!I usually purchase the hard cover model but it can get a bit heavier so I decided to do the Cahier and love it. I dont mind not having a little ribbon as frankly that can get in the way anyway. It has a flap insert in back for whatever, I show it with a bookmark slightly sticking out for perspective. It would fit business envelopes, bills, tickets...you name it.I like that it doesn't have tons of pages. After awhile my ither journal got heavy toting around all my thoughts from months ago. Who needs that. So with the Cahier I have enough for the time I use it then can shelf it and pull out a fresh one.Overall.ITS LIGHTIT FOLDS BACKIT HAS BEAUTIFUL CREAMY PAPER with a nice feelSEWN BINDINGWish list for Moleskine. Make the XXL Cahier DOTTED in more colors. Springy colors like pinks and pastels. You use those colors for the other sizes lined but us free thinkers need our dots.Happy writing!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Pocket Perfect
As someone sort of losing her memory, these pocket-sized Cahier Journals are the perfectly totable, passport-sized notebooks that serve as a sidecar for my brain. I can tuck one in my fanny pack and pinch it out during my walk to scribble down noticings and keep one in my purse for jotting down ideas, book/movie recommendations from others, and the occasional poem. The ruled lines are narrow, forcing me to write small, but each page has a generous 22 full lines (you can write seven Haiku!). While I’m not a list maker, I imagine this would be a perfect vessel for list-making enthusiasts. The paper is thin and yes, there’s a faint show-through if using a Bic. With a Flair, it’s a more prevalent show through, but I’m not bothered by it as it’s the cost of having such a wonderfully light journal to carry everywhere. The outer bindings of mine have curled at the corners, namely the cover’s bottom right hand corner, but that’s more because of my carelessness with sliding them into purse pockets, aforementioned fanny pack, and jean pockets. The paper is smooth when I rub it against my cheek. Just how I like it. The pocket on the back cover is perfect for receipts and fortunes from fortune cookies. As noted in the product description, the last sixteen pages are detachable, ideal for writing love notes to detach and slide under the windshield wiper of a lover’s car. Highly recommend this product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little notebook
These pocket notebooks are better and cheaper than Fieldnotes
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for taking old fashioned meeting notes!
I've been using these for years for note taking... think I'm up to 20 volumns... great size, fit in my back pocket (jeans) and age very well. (as in, no aging!)
5.0 out of 5 stars Always a good product.
I dislike writing (or diagramming etc.) on lined/ruled pages, and it can be challenging to find blank notebooks or writing-books with quality paper. Moleskine always delivers. Creamy, smooth, thick-enough off-white paper that’s a pleasure to write or draw on, bound neatly in sturdy volumes, for reasonable prices.Delivered on time in perfect condition.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Handy Size
These Moleskine Cahier Journals have a nice cover that is pliable enough to be slid into a pocket or purse. The size of these (3.5" x 5.5") is perfect for on-the-go drawing when out. 64 Pages is plenty for me and I like them unlined. The pages are a bit thin if you want to use markers or gel pens as it does bleed through to the back. And if pressing hard with colored pencils, it does leave impressions on the next page. I'm not that happy that the price dropped $3 since I bought them two weeks ago but good for you for getting them cheaper! Overall, a nice journal.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Notebook
I bought these because I wanted organized note taking and to be able to put it on my bookshelf after I’m done, and of course Moleskin had the answer. I use a Pilot v2 for my notetaking for tech certifications so I write a lot and a lot fast. There has been no bleed through with this pen, and the notebook has proven to be durable. Will repurchase!
5.0 out of 5 stars don't know why I love them
Maybe it's the simplicity and elegance? Just a nice cardstock cover and their lovely paper, which is a nice shade of ivory. The paper in these is thin enough that my thick nib fountain pen renders it only useful for writing on one side (such is the visibility of the ink on the other), but it's a pleasure to jot furiously in.
Just as expected
Good quality, decent size.
Quality paper
These has very good paper to write on,sheets are detachable and very good quality.
Classic
These are perfect and consistent with Moleskin quality.
