I absolutely love this stainless steel potato masher! The handle has a comfortable grip, making it easy to mash even large batches without straining my hands. The stainless steel construction is sturdy and durable, and it doesn’t rust or warp after multiple uses and washes. It also works incredibly well for other tasks like mashing avocados for guacamole or breaking down soft fruits for jams.Cleanup is a breeze since it’s dishwasher safe, and the compact size makes it easy to store. It has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools. If you want an effective and durable masher, this one is definitely worth it!

This potato masher is quite nice for several reasons.First, the manufacturing seems top notch. It's quite sturdy and doesn't seem as though it will be easy to bend without using much more force than is necessary for mashing potatoes.Second, the design is quite nice. The horizontal handle provides a more natural method of holding the utensil. This makes it much easier to use than standard vertical handled mashers. The holes seem to be appropriately spaced and the right size as well. It looks very similar to coarsely ricing the potatoes when they "squeeze" through the holes.Third, I wash it in the top rack of my dishwasher which means washing is easy. I haven't noticed any discoloration yet, but it is possible with time the handle will fade. Not something I'm worried about though.The only drawback to a horizontal masher is storage. A vertical masher is easier to put in a drawer or utensil holder. This is a very minor drawback though and obvious when looking at the masher. I wouldn't recommend getting a folding horizontal masher instead of this one though. That would just introduce an additional fail point.

This product is well made for mashing and is quick to wash.While it mentions potatoes, I find it works very quickly on making guacamole. The round masher is about four inches wide, so make sure to mash on a flat surface or a large bowl.

I was always disappointed when I used my old potato masher; it was awkward, and it didn't give the best results. This improved model is easier to use and the results are better. I usually love anything OXO makes.

Whenever I am tempted to save a few bucks and buy a product with a made up brand name like Mihetly or Tecwuh, I remind myself that "you get what you pay for" is not a tired old homily for no reason.With Oxo, I know the product I'm buying is of the best quality in both form and functino. This Oxo potato masher is no exception.Flawlessly crafted and finished, elegant in its simplicity and how it sturdily approaches its functionality, it feels good in the hand, does the job with less strain on the wrist than a vertical-handle masher, and it's built to last, with for example no rivets that attach the flat masher part like our last masher that is rusting out and loose and wobbly.In other words structural integrity is part of the design, but it's also pleasing to look at.Spend the few extra bucks.It could easily last as long as you do, and become a valued addition to your kitchen tools along the way. And leave the products with names like Prenxla or Ticwdady for those who don't care to take enjoyment and pride in a device that looks good, and won't ever let you down.

Seems to have much more control and power using this than traditional masher. Only time will tell if the flat part will bend. Otherwise looks solid and feels good in your hands.
