Flies are an ever-present nuisance around many homes in the summer months. With the TERRO Fly Magnet Fly Trap, you can attract and trap a wide variety of flies that pester you outdoors, including house flies, barn flies, and bottle flies. The bait works by luring flies into the trap. They go in expecting a treat, and find they are unable to leave. For your convenience, the TERRO Fly Magnet Fly Trap is incredibly easy to use. Simply empty the bait pack into the trap, add warm water to the fill line, and swirl to mix. Set the trap at ground level or hang the trap on a tree branch, stake, or other suitable hanger. This trap is intended for outdoor use so you can draw flies away from your home before they can get inside. Hang in warm, bright, calm areas for the best results. TERRO Fly Magnet bait contains no chemical insecticides so you can use the trap with peace of mind. Keep in mind, the bait may take a few hours before it becomes fully active. Once active, the effectiveness will not diminish over time, providing optimum fly control. When the trap is full, it can be emptied and re-baited for continuous trapping.

OMG this thing is amazing! We are using it at our cottage on the lake and we have always had a lot of flies buzzing around, but I actually purchased this hoping it would get rid of the sand flies/fleas/gnats that are so annoying in the spring/early summer. I am sad to say this does NOT work for those, but it is INCREDIBLE how well it works for the regular annoying flies!!!I originally purchased a 3-pack of the quart'ish size containers that had a bait and chain included with each trap. I mixed up the bait as instructed and agree with many of the reviewers that this smells, so I brought them outside to fill the next two. I immediately had flies attracted to the trap while filling them!!! It says to wait a couple hours before placing the traps (guessing to let the bait dissolve), which I only did the first time because it stinks up the house. I hung the traps and within hours every trap had so many flies I couldn't even count them!! By the next day they were 3/4 full in the morning, so I added some water (not fun when there are flies swarming around you as you do this) and by the evening, the traps were filled to the brim!!! I then ordered three more traps to increase the coverage on our property, but sadly I did not check the description close enough because the 3 I ordered did not come with chains, just the trap and one bait pack each.Luckily we have some wooded land on our property, so I just take the full traps out back and fling all the dead carcasses back there. With as fast as these traps are filling, there is no way I can possible remove the carcasses and reuse the bait again, nor would I even want to try because it really smells like death has truly warmed over...so gross!! I cannot imagine cleaning the traps either, until the end of the year when I put them away for the season. Thankfully I had purchased some refill bait packets (StarBar brand) when I got the traps originally, and I highly recommend doing this if you are buying the traps. These refills smell the same as the Fly Magnet bait and are almost more effective, because I am refilling my traps within 24 hours!!! The StarBar refills have way more bait than the Fly Magnet came with, so (being thrifty) I am going to try and use 1/3 of the bait refill in each trap to see if it works just as well as a full pack does. I figure it smells the same, so they will be attracted to it. I will find out today if this works!I highly recommend this product for anyone trying to rid themselves of flies. Again, this does not work on sand flies/fleas/gnats, but it does an amazing job on flies. I am interested to find out if they work on the hornets, yellow jackets and other non-honey bees as one of the reviewers stated. If that is the case, I am buying a bunch of these for my home as our fruit trees are magnets for bees in the late summer/fall. If I could, I would give this 10 stars it is so amazing!!! I never review products, but this one deserves all the accolades they can get! Wish I invented it!!!

Excellent product! I would purchase again! I bought this for the chicken run as during the summer we had an excess of flies. This comes with a heavy duty twist tie that allowed me to hang it on the exterior of the run. It is very effective! Within 3-4 day it was 1/3 full and there was a noticeable difference in the amount of insects. I would purchase this product again. I do not plan to empty it, I just tossed the lot in my trash bin. I prefer to buy the whole thing again. The bait has a strong smell, not to mention all the dead decaying flies. To me it was not overwhelming, but I don’t want to open that particular jar! :)

Purchased a two pack of these to place outside near where my dogs tend to use the bathroom. I was hoping it would cut down on the amount of flies, flying around. They are very easy to use. You fill them up to a fill line, with warm water and add the baggie of attractant. I just placed mine on the ground where the dogs could not reach them and they did a great job. Within a minute, I could see flies being attracted to the traps. I will say, that these things start to stink after awhile and although they sell these as, "Reusable", don't think that after you see and smell what is inside these things, you are going to empty it out. Just say, "Forget it!" and throw it away and just buy another. I had mine outside for about 3 wks before throwing them out. They were full of flies! For most people, these are actually going to end up being a one time use situation. To disgusting to try and empty out. Plus you still have to buy the attractant again. Overall, it works and works well. I docked them one star for pushing the whole reusable thing, when they know dang well, 99% of people are just going to smell these things and know it is not worth trying to reuse. Just by some more.... I do recommend though! ~Cheers!

It tells you to remove the wrap but if you do then it is really sad and disgusting to look at and t hen you can't reuse it easily because the wrap on the outside also has the fill line. Leave the wrap on. Empty it after a few days or else it will smell horrible. Flies are pretty dumb. I don't know why they like the bait or why they can't exit the way they went in but they are just stuck in there. Sometimes when I see them struggling (and dying of exhaustion, hunger and thirst) I take the container away from my house near some neighbors I don't like and let them out.

Next to good old fashioned fly paper this killed the most flies in the shortest amount of time, and I tried various products. It was much more attractive to big black house flies than home made concoctions. Killed about 30 flies in 24 hours. With a large invasion, like I was dealing with, this would not have been enough alone so I would have needed several or, as I did, combine with hanging fly paper. Good for keeping around in the Summer to deal with the occasional fly or two though.

買うか悩んでたのですが、嫁が誤ってポチって購入しました笑設置するとしばらくは効果が出なかったのですが、1週間くらいするとハエが中に入っていました。それからすごい量でハエを捕まえています。写真は見にくいですが、下の方の黒いのが全てハエです。50匹〜100匹くらい取れてると思います。普段はレビューしないのですが、あまりにも効果があったので、悩んでいる方はぜひ買ってみてください！
Works brilliantly!
Absolutely fantastic product! I host cream teas in our village for two days in July and, as we keep the doors to the garden open, usually get lots in flies in the kitchen (it used to be a barn). I've tried other products but this was great - I put it just outside the door and it caught huge numbers of flies. We had maybe one fly in the kitchen which was such an improvement. Very occasionally I noticed the smell (disgusting) but moved it out of the way and it still caught them. It's still catching them a week later. I will definitely be buying more bait and looking forward to a fly free summer!

Ich verstehe die negativen Bewertungen nicht.Nach einer Woche war das Teil bereits Rand voll mit fliegen. Ich hatte daneben noch noch anderes Produkt und darin war eine einzige fliege.
Great effect, but totally reeks
This product is amazing at Attracting flies but it smell like a dead rat.So you might need it in your garden but you can sit in proximity to it.
