The Eagle Type I galvanized steel safety can with funnel is used to store, transport, and dispense flammable liquids safely and comes with a funnel to facilitate filling and pouring. The can is made of 24-gauge galvanized steel, which is resistant to rust, dents, and certain chemicals. Gauge is a measure of thickness (the lower the gauge, the thicker the material). The powder-coated finish resists scratches, chipping, fading, and other wear. A flame arrestor helps prevent liquids inside the can from igniting and keep flames from spreading. The spout cap self-closes to help prevent leaks or spills. The cap assembly opens automatically to vent internal vapors. A trilingual safety warning label alerts users to the can's contents. The funnel is made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which is resistant to dents, punctures, and certain chemicals. This safety can may be available in different colors (blue for kerosene, green for oil or other combustibles, red for gasoline, or yellow for diesel) to separate, store, and identify different liquids. This product is FM Approved as a safety can used for handling flammable liquids in quantities of 5 gallons or less. It complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard 1910.106 for the safe storage and handling of flammable liquids. It meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 30, which provides safeguards to reduce the hazards associated with the storage, handling, and use of flammable and combustible liquids. It is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Listed and meets UL safety requirements. Hazardous storage cans are used in a variety of commercial and industrial environments and can also be suitable for home use. Eagle Manufacturing Company manufactures industrial safety, haz-mat, and storage products that meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for quality assurance. The company, founded in 1894, is headquartered in Wellsburg, VA.

This can lasts forever, and does not have any of the problems found with red plastic gas cans.I've popped out dents in one of these cans. The paint job is very nice.The metal handle makes it easy to carry a full can of gas, and the plastic handle makes pouring easy.I push up the red cap with my fingers to install and remove the funnel - it is very easy to use. You cannot squeeze the yellow handle to install and remove the funnel, like I said push up the red cap with your fingers.I am just amazed how nice is this gas can. Quality is outstanding.

Who knew that a gas can could be a family heirloom? I sure didn't. This thing feels like it's going to last well beyond the Cenozoic era. It's definitely better than all of those plastic gas cans i've used to this point in my life. It's the best quality and the easiest to pour.The only thing that can get you - and I saw this in someone else's review before purchasing - is that if you're leaving it in your hot garage, be sure to "burp" it before you pour it. Otherwise the pressure will cause it to splash when the gas hits the funnel and then you'll smell like gas.

This is the 3rd one I purchased. Hundreds of times better than the cheap plastic ones that split from vapor pressure. They do not leak and are safe for storage. I never experienced the smell of gas during storage. On the CON side, the plastic funnel is difficult to install and needs to be removed to fill the can. The handle and “pull release” are too close to open wide enough to install the funnel without some effort. That said, I would still recommend its purchase for its safety and storage ability. A must for any Florida generator owner.

These cans are made with great craftsmanship and durability. Not one blemish or dent. No dust or debris inside cans. The funnel works very good and you can remove it easily for storage. After having plastic ones for years it was time to upgrade. I love that they definitely won’t have any issue tipping. Although not necessary I need to figure out a rubber bottom solution just to keep them nice. I would definitely buy more!

All the mandated safety, self-closing mechanisms make gas cans almost unusable. Seems to be better US quality, but the fixed funnel angle is not very practical.

I just received my new metal gas can.Open the box and it was perfect No dents or dingsSome customer received theirs with dents that may be related to air transport higher altitudes causing a vacuum inside the can.I'd recommend to Eagle to prop the lip open so no vacuum can be created from pressure differential in altitude changes while shipping to different locations.This is the exact same gas can that my local auto parts store sells with their name brand on it for 92.00 dollars, funnel at an extra cost of 15.00.I bought this for 58.00 dollars with the funnel delivered to my door.I've used these at my work place for many years never had any problem with this product.Well worth the money spent.Don't want another plastic gas can. They are not ment for fuel storage the black plastic cap cracks from the pressure and the plastic gas can are not vented to release pressure so the plastic can swell up and the caps cracked. Felt very unsafe. Works well for transporting fuel but best to leave empty until you need to get fuel.I bought this metal can because we just had a hole island power outage I had no gas for my generator I was worried about our food storage. My generator will run for 8 hours on 1 gallon of fuel so 5 gallon would have been a big help.This metal gas can is vented for storage and is safe to use.I read alot of the comments giving low stars you know about the funnel and the spring tension to open the lid. First off is I'll never use the funnel on the can. I'll stick the funnel in the fuel filler on my car and then slowly put the gas in simple.The springs on the lid is so the vapors can vent if the pressure gets to high in the can far better then the plastic can that can crack and leak fuel. Not recommend for kids to useI may buy one more, 10 gallons should be more then enough for an emergency. You don't want to much gas stored at home but I would believe 10 gallons should be ok.

Have used this gas can numerous times for road trips. Love the luxury of knowing you have 5 gallons reserved if needed. The detachable funnel makes pouring/refilling simple and spill proof. Would consider buying another if needed.

This will be the last gas can you’ll need to buy. Solid construction. Easy to pour. Lid will vent under high pressure. Funnel can fill small engines and your vehicle.Makes me feel better knowing my gas is stored as safely as possible. Just ordered a second one of these.

Excelente producto muy practico para viajes largos en donde no se conoce la carretera y se ignoran los lugares para repostar gasolina, no presentó indicios de fuga, incluso ni siquiera se persibe olor al combustible.
5 us gallon can
I bought this jug to hold my motorcycle fuel which is a mix of vp race gas and pump fuel and amsoil. This should keep the race fuel and gas fresh all summer. Last fuel in a plastic jug went stale. This is well made and the funnel is nice and easy to remove.

bidon de bonne qualité. par contre un bidon a été abimé lors da sa fabrication et a été quand même peinturé ... il est bossé. ce n'est pas arrivé durant le transport. inspection à l'usine à améliorer !
