This casual comedy stars hip-hop maestros Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, who are also all over the movie's soundtrack. Dee Loc (Dogg) works at a car wash but makes more money selling pot on the side. When his roommate Sean (Dre) gets a job as assistant manager at the wash, Sean finds himself caught between his tyrannical boss (the ever-blustery George Wallace) and his friend. But the plot isn't really the point--"The Wash" is a loose, ambling collection of off-hand jokes, character portraits, and girls in tight clothes, much in the same vein as "Friday" or "I Got the Hook-Up". Cameos include Shaquille O'Neal, Ludacris, Pauly Shore (as a mob victim tied up in a car trunk), and Eminem. A high rating is in order 'cause this movie never stops with the laughs for me, even though it's almost a 'hood' documentary. I knew people like that in my neighborhood when I was a young woman (18+), so seeing it now (60+) made it look like funny stuff! If you like Dr. Dre &/or Snoop, this is an opportunity to see them in a lighter roll, since neither of them do any rapping. I just tell people to check it out - it's too funny to explain. Aunt Jerry

Exactly as described. Movie worked perfectly and arrived in a great condition. I remember watching this on tv randomly and couldn't stop laughing my butt off! There are a lot of celebrities in this movie so I was determined to purchase a copy. Fast forward a couple years and I finally buy it, but just not as funny as I remembered. Maybe my humor has shifted a tad! That's not the seller's fault though, so I still gave it 5 stars.

I recently purchased this DVD again to replace my original which had got scratched over the years from letting folks borrow it. I was hoping that it would've been available on Blu-ray by now. It's def one of my hood favorites that kept it real for the time. It would be nice to see more like this today but most rappers went from the struggle to rapping about gucci and other material crap that they can't relate to so even in their film attempts, it's nothing more than a ghetto Cinderlla storyline.

First off, this movie is most likely only for people who have a goofy sense of humor and laugh at a lot of things that most people don't. I think this is a good movie, been watching it for years and Im glad to finally own it on dvd. And snoop is just hilarious in here, i love his character.

Réalisé par DJ Pooh en 2001 celui qui à sorti Friday avec Ice Cube, mets en scène pour la première fois Dr. Dre au cinéma avec son ami de toujours Snoop Dogg...Deux amis, Sean et Dee Loc, travaillent dans une petite entreprise de nettoyage de voitures. Tout deux fan de musique hip hop et de belles femmes dans une ville comme Los Angeles ou la tentation est grande. Snoop très drôle comme dans ses habitudes on remarquera également la présence de Eminem dans le casting en voleur et demandeur de rançon ! J'ai découvert The Wash dans mes années 2004, 2005 l'époque ou le genre des films afro étaient encore plaisants à regarder. Ceux qui aiment le son californien des années 90 et 2000 apprécieront sans doute la B.O du film.
