About this item:
The gradient structure of Blueair filters traps particles of all sizes while maintaining maximum airflow. It resists clogging and won't re-release particles back into the air, even when the filter is heavily loaded. Blueair filter media is ultrasonically bonded to prevent filter fibers and other particles from being added back into your environment. The only thing that comes out of our filters is clean air! In addition, advanced polypropylene filter media removes particle pollutants down to 0.1 micron in size from your indoor air, such as pollen, dust, and pet dander. The Blueair Classic Replacement filter, Particle, keeps cleaning the air on average from 6 months to a year. The environment and fan speed will influence the actual life of the filter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hate the Price but as far as I’m concerned I think they’re Superior…
I hate paying so much for a filter as we have 3 of these units BUT I think it’s worth it to buy the genuine model. I’ve tried a couple of different knock-off brands and I just don’t think they work as well as they seem to mess up the auto function. One of my units continuously kept going back and forth between settings 2 & 3 and the only way to stop this was to turn off auto. This has not happened with the Blueair filter. When changing the knock-offs they also don’t seem to be as dirty as the Blueair brand for some reason plus the Blueair seems to slide in and fit better and are easier to remove. I'm not a germophobe or fanatic but my air just seems fresher. These new ones I just purchased have different instructions on the sides. Instead of saying “This side must face back or front” there’s just a sticker with an arrow indicating AIR FLOW DIRECTION. I pulled this sticker back and sure enough it covered the original side placement instructions. I’m really not sure if this is really clearer as it was a little confusing to me. However, looks like the metal side goes facing the intake and the corrugated side faces the control side. Seems to be working great and I think I’ll stick with the Blueair from now on. Don’t be alarmed by the slight oil odor when you first install as it seems to dissipate very quickly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great filter for a wonderful machine that I've used for six years
Was happy to find this filter sold at Bolo. I have owned a Blueair 402 air purifier for over six years and it has been a great purchase. Even though the machine and filters are expensive, they are well worth the investment. I run my machine 24/7 during months when pollen is heavy. In the summer, I run it 24/7 to help keep my bedroom cool and it is wonderful to sleep in cool, CLEAN air. That's six years of constant use and have never had to do any repair...just replace the filter a couple of times year.I have recommended the Blueair 400 series to my friends and those who have purchased it have always thanked me as it works great for them too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent air filter for excellent air cleaner
I get this replacement filter every 6 months for my Blueair 402 model. It has changed slightly over the years (I have owned the 402 for about 8 years already), but it is still the same great quality, and super easy to change out.Open the side door, pull out the old filter, vacuum the inside of accumulated dust, slide the new filter in. Voila! Clean air for another 6 months! It smells a little bit funny when you first insert a new filter, but just turn the cleaner on high and let it go for a couple of hours. The smell dissipates quickly. As an allergy sufferer and multiple cat owner, the Blueair is a necessity for the bedroom. Silent, clean air.
5.0 out of 5 stars Blue Air Filter
Blueair recommends changing the filters for their air purifiers every six months. The entire system is not inexpensive because the purifier is expensive and the replacement filters seem relatively expensive. However, the performance is valuable for anyone with allergies. By the time my filters are changed, there is noticeable build-up of particles so I know that this is something that we would be breathing in if not for the purifier. When I think about what our purifier does, running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 365 days a year, I am appreciative for our cleaner air and decreases allergy reactions. The cost of the filter, changed twice a year, is approximately $0.45/day. For me, and my family, this is a good deal!
4.0 out of 5 stars Too much money
Very expensive. The filters work fine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great air purifier, perfect filter
Always use these filters in the Blue Air units.
5.0 out of 5 stars Filters a lot of stuff
I use these 400 series filters on my BlueAir Classic 405, and I haven't had any problems. Whenever it's time to install a new filter, the old one has a lot of dust and other particles on it. It's especially visible when you compare the old filter next to the new one that you're going to replace it with.
5.0 out of 5 stars BLU AIR IS THE BEST !!!
I have had allergies for years, shots on two arms every spring. And after years of suffering, my brother told me about Bluair and I got it. This thing is short of miracle. The Bluair series is great. It filters air, odors etc. And from the time I have gotten the Bluair and the filter, I have had limited or no pollen issues. It sucks the air and filters air so well. The filter is by other comparative standards, on the expensive side, but it really lasts. And you can see how black it gets. One filter lasted more than 6 months plus longer. But for health, reducing my allergies, removing odors...can't beat it. I love this thing. It is by far the best investment I made. No complaints.
High Quality Air Filters
The Blueair filters are hospital grade filters that remove particulate down to about 1 micron. The filter with charcoal filters out unhealthy gasses. The Swedish designed Blueair Filter Units are excellent quality with noise levels below ambient bedtime levels (about 30 dbA)
Expensive, but effective.
Expensive, but effective.
Air filter
Good quality
Worth it
The best air purifier brand in the market. I have been using Blue Air Air cleaners for over 8 years. Eliminates dust, pollen or even food smell. Sneezing, hay fever and itchiness are gone as well, and my eyelid doesn't feel heavy. I am extremely tidy, but London's air quality is terrible. I would not recommend any other brand than Blue AIr. The filter is heavy on price but your lungs are worth more than that.
works
I have this installed in a commercial setting and as an asthmatic, I can say pretty confidently that these work very well.
