Plugged this into my Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 running Windows 11 and it automatically installed the necessary drivers. I've used it several times for troubleshooting ancient SUN servers and have had no issues whatsoever. It gets bonus points for it being 10' long.

I bought this so one PC-based device could control another via serial port (yup, welcome to the 1990's!). It worked for this low-tech application. By my measurement here is the pin wiring. Pins 1, 5, and 9 are wired straight through. Pin 6 is open circuit. Pins 2 and 3 are cross-wired, as are pins 7 and 8.Who knows why the seller description blabs on and on about HDMI and display port. This cable has nothing to do with video!

These work fine for when I need to get into a physical appliance in a data center that has crashed. I plug this in and then launch hyper terminal (you can use the XP version on Windows 7) set the speed/baud rate, etc. and reconfigure if necessary. These appliances just periodically lose their configurations and you have to get a minimal config on them in order to put the backup of the configuration back on them.

Un producto simple y bien hecho, como debería de ser todo.
Necesitaba un cable serie (parece mentira que hoy en dia, todavia se necesiten cables de comunicaciones RS232) para la instalación de unos equipos y lo compré esperando que fuera un objeto con una calidad justa pero nada mas de mi opinión inicial.Me encontré un objeto muy bien terminado y de calidad (ya habia probado otros cables de 3metros de longitud y daban problemas a menos velocidad - lo tenia que usar a 115200bps, 8,1,N).Voalvería a comprar otro en caso de ser necesario? Sin duda.

C'è poco da dire: si tratta di un cavo Null Modem (crossed) Seriale con connettori Femmina-Femmina. Provato su Switch HP Procurve (connessione Console).Conclusione: Cavo corrispondente alla descrizione, funzionante, ben realizzato. Spedizione rapidissima come d'abitudine ;-)
Another excellent StarTech product.
This well made cable has worked perfectly while I have been working with a very old computer and a PC emulating a terminal. During the build, the cable was connected and disconnected numerous times and did not develop any sort of problem.I have used several products from StarTech and have never been disappointed by the design or the quality.

Does the job just fine. Decent quality, gave it some abuse and it didn't fall apart or break, so can't complain.

Tout est dans le titre. Très bon cable, souple, résistant, long. Deux prises DB9 femelles avec des vis en plastique qui sont solides et qui ne craignent pas le tournevis. Cet objet respire la qualité.Il est néanmoins plus cher que lors de mon achat il y quelques mois, je l'avais eu à 6 €.
