5.0 out of 5 stars Easy flow, fine gel pen.
Like these pens. I normally use the Pentel Energel 0.5 fine tip gel pen but used one of these, liked really well for the easy writing without the darker bolder “marker “ look when writing. They write finer than the Pentel Energel 0.5 pens I use plus the Price is better. Will order again.
5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite pens
These pens write incredibly smoothly and fluidly. They dry fairly quickly but do smudge some if you are touching the paper right after writing. They last a long time and are comfortable to grip. I would recommend these even despite the slightly higher price tag than most office pens.
5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth and precise pen
Easy gliding with great ink.Good for anything that a pen would need to do.
5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite pens
Sometimes with 0.5 mm pens, you have to sacrifice smooth ink flow for a thin, quickly drying line. Not these. They write super smoothly, and the ink dries fast enough that you still get a beautiful line that doesn't bleed, even if you rest your hand on the ink. I'm a faithful fan!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pens! After working with them all, I prefer a bold point to the extra fine.
These are my favorite cheap pens to write with. I always carry at least two.My hand script is a bit artistic. I use it to record how I am feeling and how my thoughts are flowing as I write. We all do, I suppose, I just like to take note of it. I thoroughly enjoy the feel of a pen tip moving smoothly across paper. I like to feel the texture of the paper through the pen. I like the pen to record starts and stops accurately with variations of pressure. These pens allow all of that, and are very comfortable to use for long periods of time. The reason I prefer a bold point (1.0mm line thickness) to the extra fine point is feel. The extra fine point feels a bit like you're scratching into the paper. Sometimes it even does just that. The feel of the bold point is much more fluid. I do enjoy the increased dexterity of a fine point when I am trying to cram something into a margin, but I much prefer to avoid that altogether. Still, the bold point does end up drawing blotted letter-shapes that are sometimes illegible when too small. The fine point remains clear with very small writing and detailed drawing.Because of the placement and opacity of the squishy-comfort-grip-thing, you can't visually tell when one of these pens is running out of ink. You can only tell because the pen that has served you faithfully throughout it's whole life without a hiccup is starting to sputter in its throws of death. When you get a few gaps in letters, you know you have just a few lines of script left before you can write no longer. There is only one other thing, in my experience, that can make this pen write poorly: oil. When I use them to make a note on my hand (yeah, I'm one of those, at least when I catch myself with a paperless thought...) the oil from my skin gives them pause. It takes a short scribble session on a scrap piece of paper to get them going again. The same thing can happen if I am working with a single sheet of paper over an extended period of time and building up hand oil on the paper by spinning the paper and writing a cloud of though in different directions wherever I can fit things in. I have oily skin. This may not be a problem for you at all. If it is, these are still the best (cheap) pens made.Perhaps by that same magic, these pens are very forgiving in the laundry. One of my previous favorites was the Pilot Precise series. They were a proud predecessor with liquid ink instead of gel. Leave one in your pocket as your pocket goes into the wash, and you will lose most if not every garment in the load. The G2s seem to shut themselves off. The first few times I found one rattling around as I transitioned clothes to the dryer, my heart jumped, but no damage was done. Results may vary. Very cool.
4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth and Reliable, But Could Be More Consistent
As someone who writes extensively and is particular about my pens, the Pilot G2 Premium Gel Roller Pens in the 0.5 mm extra fine point are a solid choice. The gel ink flows smoothly, providing a crisp and precise line that’s perfect for detailed work or neat note-taking. The grip is comfortable for extended writing sessions, and the pen’s balance feels just right in the hand. However, I’ve noticed some slight inconsistency in the ink flow, especially when the pen is running low. While this isn’t a deal-breaker, it’s something to be aware of if you demand absolute perfection in your writing instruments.Overall, these are dependable and high-quality pens that I’m happy to use daily. They may not be perfect, but they’re close enough to earn a strong recommendation.
5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Pens at an Amazing Price
For the last 10 years, I've primarily used Pilot G2 0.5 pens for all my academic and personal needs. Ok - maybe it's strange to have a favorite pen, but having a pen that writes so smoothly and precisely has made filling out paperwork, writing homework assignments, and taking notes so much better. Also, these pens are pretty pricey, so this bulk box saves you some money too.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best pen the world has ever seen
Each pen lasts a long time, I love using it with my Muji notebooks, and the comfort of use is spot on every time. The G2 is the best of the best. I love the .5 size.
