Someone recommended this particular dry food to me a few years ago. My cats look great - they're well nourished (good lab tests) and their coats are shiny and full.The only downside is that 2 of my cats are fat as they eat too much of it.

Purina One is the cat food shelters tend to use and vets recommend for affordable, nutritionally balanced dry cat food. I'm not willing to pay for prescription or expensive boutique cat food unless my veterinarian highly recommend it for a particular cat based on specific needs. But, I want my cats to have the most healthy food readily available.Our eldest cat is still young, but we have to watch her weight and she refuse every wet food we tried, so Purina One weight control cat food. She ate it be grudgingly, but worse, it gave her dry flaky skin. So we decided to switch to this and just be extra careful with portion size and frequency.Luckily, she does like this and after a few weeks with the change in diet, her skin and coat returned to normal. Furthermore, our two kittens love it. I will continue to feed them wet food supplemented by Purina One dry kitten food, but will switch them to as their dry food when they're a year old.

When I asked a vet once what I should feed my cats she replied "Purina and above." I tried Blue Buffalo and Nutro but they weren't interested; this is the brand they'll eat and enjoy.My tuxedo girl has shiny fur that looks like patent leather and I attribute that to what she eats. No skin issues, no stomach problems and they seem happy and healthy.They get a little wet food once a day and the dry is out to graze on. They probably graze too much but they're also insanely active so I pick my battles.At any rate I figure good nutrition means less vet visits so I feed them this.

My cats love this food. It's the only dry food I buy. It's not super expensive, but my cats seem to enjoy it compared to other options in the same price range. I will say though, that if you buy bigger than 7 lbs at a time, I have noticed that there will sometimes be a TON of crumbs. Not at 7 lb though, that's the sweet spot in my opinion.
