5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Bottle
Excess care was used when shipping. Lots of paper and bubble wrap used to protect from damage. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the bottles as they are to be used as gifts.
5.0 out of 5 stars A nice glass bottle at a good price
So, we went out to eat recently and just like a lot of restaurants, they brought out a glass bottle full of water for your table. We've had this happen many times. It's not unusual. Nothing new. For some reason though, this particular time, my husband thought it was the neatest thing and said we should do the same for our house. I looked around Bolo to find a glass bottle with a stopper for a good price. This one was it. It arrived quickly and I cleaned it before adding water. I placed it in the fridge and viola, we have water to have at the table for our meals. It was such a simple thing and it made my husband happy so it's well worth the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for use with a soda siphon
I like to keep a bottle of water in the fridge so I can refill my soda siphon (iSi 2248 Soda Siphon, Brushed Aluminum) with chilled water and not have to endure a long wait for soothing cool bubbliness to transpire. Previously, I used a plastic bottle from the supermarket that previously held soda water, which worked fine, but the Wife became concerned that all the nasty chemicals leaching from said plastic were sure to cause me to mutate into some horrific Swamp Thing or some such abomination. So I decided to switch to glass, and this bottle filled the void. It's a quality bottle and the cap mechanism is stout and effective. I store the bottle on its side in the fridge and it doesn't leak. It holds just enough water to fill the soda siphon to the brim, with a little extra to deal with the inevitable spillage. The spillage is because pouring liquid from this bottle is not the most precise of activities; I fill the siphon in the sink because I spill water every time. You could use a funnel to manage the pouring if you like. The bottle is strong, but I would advise against using it for pressurized content. If you are going to bottle fizzy stuff, or fermented liquids, use a bottle designed for the purpose. This is an excellent bottle for unpressurized liquid that does not need to be precisely dispensed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love these
Good quality. Love these for our fridge. Would recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars very nice bottles
perfect size for 750l bottle.
4.0 out of 5 stars OK
The bottle is great. But I ordered a smaller size and was given a much larger one that did not serve my purpose.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
This has been great. I’ve used it to make my homemade vanilla and haven’t had any issues.
5.0 out of 5 stars Leak proof glass
Why I didn't thought of this? I have a swing bottle on the kitchen counter from the Italian Alps staring at me everyday for more than a decade. I use this for storing homemade soda, more specifically Sodastream. BPA free doesn't mean a lot now. I have a plastic version but if I store soda in glass, the contact is minimal. It's cheaper than the Sodastream bottles and last forever if you don't break it. The classic stoppers and seal can be replaced.I just read a review elsewhere that the bottle doesn't hold gas well. Well, I just filled it full with water and it doesn't leak upside down. It should be respectable to hold gas unless somehow high pressure developed after you pour your soda in it.Store brought soda goes flat in a day or two after opening. Soda are best consumed when you made it, same as opened. My requirement are just to keep the kids happy and not to have to lift heavy bottles from the garage to the kitchen. Also, a little bubble added to my 30 ppm tds filtered water taste great.I try this bottle because my kids like sparkling orange juice and I heard that making champagne from white wine is good. These are good reasons to move on to something else that use recyclable cartridges (as aerosol cans). Some are steel and doesn't come with extra bottles.
