5.0 out of 5 stars A Rubbermaid Patio Cabinet replacement for a 43 year old older one
This cabinet was purchased to replace one I purchased 43 years and 2 months ago. The original is still functional but is showing it's time in Texas triple digit Summers, a few extreme Winters where it withstood single digit temperatures, close proximity to 2 tornados, and several hurricanes with a constant explosure to the elements. The new one was very easy to construct and is bigger than it's much older sibling. I'd say 43 years of constant outdoor usage shows the durability of Rubbermaid quality and design. I've more than got my money's worth out of the old cabinet which I'm getting recycled.

FIRST... a huge THANK YOU to Bolo for providing this item for saleand the awesome, almost overnite shipping service... WOW...!!!This Rubbermaid cabinet is a good asset to any garage.Assembly was easy... and once put together it is VERY VERY sturdy. Don't worry about the reviews that complain about 'no directions'... simply look at the picture of the cabinet on the box that it comes in and put your brain in gear... or you can always go to 'you-tube videos' and follow their steps for assembly. No tools needed, however a light tap with a rubber mallet to seat the pieces together is a must for a snug fit. Bottom line is... you will end up with a very sturdy cabinet that will last for many many years. It is NOT water-proof - nor does it advertise to be so, so if you need something for out-doors or 100% weather proof... buy something different. I highly recommend this cabinet for simple storage in the garage or work place.

We chose this over the cheaper versions because Rubbermaid has a good brand name. For the most part, it did live up to expectations and is clearly sturdy enough to hold a lot of items, even heavy things. Assembly was straight forward and the parts aligned One negative was the rough finish around all of the holes - the cut out pieces stayed inside and had to be shaken out. Be sure to wear gloves while assembling to avoid getting cut on the rough, sharp edges. It would be better if the shelves were adjustable.

This product was very durable and easy to assemble. Loved that the instructions were on the box itself. No nuts or bolts required and it was like putting a puzzle together. Looks great also.

Spent what I considered alot of $$ for this cabinet because I expected good quality from Rubbermaid and I needed the advertised features: quick and easy to assemble, sturdy, waterproof. I've just started assembling it and am so frustrated. Instructions are printed on the back of the box as "how-to" pictures that are unclear with very little detail. I'm stuck on step 5 because you can't see in the instruction picture exactly what to do. I googled Rubbermaid for the instructions and only found a poor quality scan of the exact same instructions that are the box. I can't find any videos for assembly. Oh, and, it was difficult to navigate the Rubbermaid online list of instructions to find what I was looking for.I opted for this cabinet because it was emphasized how 'easy' it was to assemble. We are experiencing life difficulties right now that makes finding time and recourses for such things as product assembly excruciatingly difficult. It took a while to find time to shop for this much need storage cabinet and then took me weeks to finally find time to start assembly. I'm so disappointed that it is not easy to assemble as advertised. I think it might be if clear instructions were provide.Though not together yet, what I'm seeing so far makes me pessimistic that it will be sturdy and waterproof as advertised. If time permits, I'll update this review if and when I finish putting it together and start using it. It seems to be sloppily manufactured. The assembly holes appear to drilled with defective or worn tooling. The assembly hold cutout were left inside the parts and shavings are everywhere and there's a look of stringy, melted rubber around the holes. The round cutouts fall out everywhere when removing the parts from the box. Some of the parts are somewhat labeled from the molding, for example F1, these labels are not referenced elsewhere. It would have been nice if the instructions identified and referenced them.

I was disappointed in this cabinet. Not enough to go through the bother of returning it, but it's definitely not what I expected. I've had Rubbermaid products in the past which were very high-quality, but this cabinet isn't. It's made out of light, cheap, hollow plastic, which is cut so poorly that I had to drill out chunks of flash to get the pieces together, and so thin that any pressure applied during assembly bends the wall panels. Also, cutouts of the plastic are still inside the doors and wall panels, so they will rattle any time I open it.Concerning assembly, it's not complicated, but that doesn't mean it's easy. The pieces do not fit all that well together, making it necessary to apply excess pressure in spots, risking the warping mentioned above.The style of assembly also makes any locks on the doors useless, as the cabinet can be taken apart very easily, even by a child. I suppose you could cement the pieces together, but I'd worry about the cement solidifying before you're able to get every piece into place.There's adequate space for what I wanted, and for the light duty I plan to use it, it'll be fine, but I will probably fill in some gaps to try to make it more waterproof before I place anything in it.In all, it'll mostly do what I need it to do, but I'm quite disappointed in the quality.

exremly difficult to assemble this product nneds improvement it works well,it is worth buying it just takes a long time to assemble the instructions need improving and there were no brackets to attach to the wallyou cannot just screw on the wall it wont work! you need to buy a bracket for the wall.
Solid and easy to assemble
I’m no me fixit and I put it together in 5-6 min. No screws. Good if you have a rubber mallet to bang in poles. Perfect size for outdoor mini shed near outdoor sauna to store stuff for pool and sauna (chemicals) and garden. (Fertilizers etc). Can Also stack on top same model to double size. Could option if I decide I need more space.

When you buy this product think one hundred times.If there was option for 0 star I would give it to my order. I think my picture tells more. It shows was inside when I had it opened. Just two shelves ???!Are you kidding me? Very dissatisfied.
