I'm an ice cream lover with arthritis and wrist problems, and sometimes rock-hard ice cream. I wish I bought this long before now. It's a lot easier to scoop out of containers and it makes beautiful scoops. Seriously. Even my guests noticed.I put way too much thought into which size scoop to get. One swipe and I get a good size for a cone, but this makes larger scoops easily. Just keep scoping without lifting it out of the container.The only drawback is that I live in fear that someone is going to put this in the dishwasher and ruin it. This cleans very easily by hand.

I was indeed stoked to find there was a product out there that seemed to permit perfect scoops of ice cream with the frozen tundra that comes right out of the freezer! What a boon to me, a take-home Cold Stone regular... not only that, but the science behind it was sound and interesting. Did I mention it would also let me scoop hard ice cream?Got it, and tested it immediately on a tub that was right out of the freezer and solid. Followed instructions to the letter...Unfortunately, it wasn't that impressive. It's not magic. It just allows the scoop business end to glide through the upper 1/2" or so of hard ice cream a bit faster than a normal scoop. You can feel the cold seep into the freon in the handle as the scoop makes its way through the ice cream, which is neat. But my hand heat, at the recommended spot in the recommended way, doesn't make scooping magic as I thought it might.Perhaps with a few minutes air time, good ice cream will soften enough to allow carte blanche scooping, in real spherical scoops. With Cold Stone it takes only about a minute or so in 80 degF weather (I'm in Hawaii) to be soft enough for this Zeroll to make its perfect-shape 3" orbs with. But it does NOT, repeat, does NOT let you glide through hard ice cream as effortlessly as you think. I'm a pretty big guy, and I have to work the Zeroll to get a scoop, just a little less than if I'd used a normal scoop, and a lot more than if I'd waited 2 mins. :/Still, nice quality. I find a short dab with warm water in the scoop, allows it to work better (do NOT use hot water for too long, or the scoop can spew freon liquid all over, from what I've read about dishwasher incidents here).Pros: Little less effort with rock-hard ice cream. Nice build quality.Cons: Not the miracle product you may think it is, but it does what claims -- reduces effort. A little.Conclusion: I wouldn't buy one again at its price point. But with its quality, won't need another one for a long time either. :)

This scoop is exactly like the ones I used when working in an ice cream shop. It is easy to use, ergonomic, and durable. I previously bought three other scoops, two of which were OXO brand. The outer coating peeled off those within a month. This scoop is still pristine after a few months even when occasionally leaving it in water. It’s a great scoop!

I gotta admit I was rather skeptical about the design and how it would work. But I am pleased to admit that it does perform better than a traditional ice cream scoop.
Best Ice Cream Scoop by Far!
This scoop works with thw hardest of ice creams...like a knife through butter! I make homemade ice cream and it freezes up hard. I've bought 2 already. I won't use anything else after having these! It's pricey but worth it. Not dishwasher safe...you'll ruin it and it will tarnish and the liquid in the handle dries up. You can still use it as a normal scoop though.

Game changer tool
Great tool for crafting perfect ice cream balls, and they fall off the scooper easily without having to constantly wet or wash the scooper. Great investment.
Excellent ice-cream scoop!
The media could not be loaded. As it should be, it's made of polished aluminium so i melts hard ice-cream easy and makes perfect round balls. Because it is made of aluminium, don't put it in the dishwasher! Only wash by hand with warm water. If some one complain about it getting a bad colour and a matt surface, they put it in the dishwasher. Don't do that, it will kill the aluminium. The body is solid aluminium but the handle is not solid, that's the only thing I can "complain" about. I'm very happy with it and don't understand why I spent so much money on bad scoops before I got this one. Its worth the money!
Caro pero de calidad
Bolas de helado como de heladería. Que aproveche el calor de la mano para facilitar coger el helado nada más salir del frigo es ideal. Le pongo 4 estrellas por el precio pero se ve de muy buena calidad. Para los que se despistan como yo con el tamaño el 12 hace la típica bola Standard de un helado de heladería para un cono
