5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great, good quality brake service kit.
The tools are designed well and of good quality, at least for my use at home. I mostly use the brake spring remover, the adjustment spoons and the spring plier. One thing I don't like with the spring plier is that you have to use the pointed tip on the brake material, and depending on the hardness of the spring, that pointed tip can really dig into your pads when removing or reinstalling the springs. Hopefully this design can be improved.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good tool
Good value and perfect for a DIY, I would even use this professionally. Obviously won’t be the same quality as snap on but way better price. Get them you won’t be upset unless you are a person that wants perfection but doesn’t want to pay for it
4.0 out of 5 stars Worked well, with a hack.
I used this to replace rear brake shoes on a 2002 4runner SR5. The spring pliers/tool can be frustrating to use. After slipping multiple times I finally used a thick piece of rubber to help anchor the pointed end on the brake pad. It protects the pad and keeps the tool from slipping. Makes a huge difference! Could be the top seller if they included something like that as part of the kit. P.S. I tried the small flat adjustment tool for this purpose and it also slipped off. Rubber is the way to go for any similar tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would not try a brake job without it.
These tools are well worth the money if you are doing drum brakes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good tools
Good variety of tools. I have had great luck with Astro tools in the past and would buy more of the products in the future
3.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality...Didn't even last one use..But the company made good!
UPDATE:As per the reply left by the manufacturer ( Astro Pneumatic), I contacted them and they IMMEDIATELY replied to my e-mail! They shipped a replacement tool within a day. I received the replacement and a quick "test".. to see if it twisted like the one in the kit... resulted in a much better result. I did notice that the "replacement" had white lettering on it as opposed to the black lettering on the original. One of the tools (that is used to "roll" the brake springs off of the mounting posts) immediately slipped it's handle! I had to use the tool by grabbing the shaft with a vise grip to do the job.The pliers did work as described and actually made it through the job.The tools to actually push/compress the hold-down springs are a weird size and do not hold well....I am sure there are better choices even here on Bolo in the way of these tools.

Comes with everything you need for a complete brake job.
I am a professional mechanic by trade so i already can tell you that for the price ($50) is a good deal. I have a whole drawer full of brake tools, some broken and some not. Some are plain garbage and some are great but i was looking for a set that came with everything but didn't really know where to find it. I was looking and looking but never found out until i saw this as a recommendation from Bolo. I looked into it and and loved how it came with everything in a convenient case and i love cases because everything is organized and you know when your missing something. For the price, i really couldn't resist, as soon as i saw it i purchased this because i wanted something that came with everything but didn't want to pay a lot. If you price each one of these out from various places you could be paying upwards to $100 for everything. So for $50 i think that this is a very good deal. It surprisingly arrived quickly which i liked because i needed to use it ASAP.The set comes with:• Spring Compressor• Brake Spring Installer• Spring Removal Tool• Brake Retaining Spring Tool• Brake Spring Pliers• Two Brake Adjustment Spoons• Mini Adjustment Spoon• Blow Molded CaseThe quality is great and every tools works as it should have. There is a review on Bolo stating that the handle separated from the shaft so the handle just spins on the shaft. I could see that but i really don't understand why because for the price it is fairly cheap but what do you expect but if that does happen, take the tool out from the handle and put some glue into the hole and insert the handle back onto the shaft and let it dry. Your done, only if it does happen though but i am doubtful it will. I have yet to have any problems with the tools in this set. This set comes with everything for Domestic and Import vehicles so there should be no problem and used for MOST applications. I am really liking the set and if your in need to do your brakes (for the rear drum brakes) i would totally recommend this set to any DIYer or a professional mechanic because there is no point in spending $100 or more dollars for tools that do the SAME exact job an expensive one does. They are all the same and this set is a great set to buy for the money.
