5.0 out of 5 stars i didn't know how much i needed this
because of the pandemic, my regular chinese take-out place had closed, as has my favorite sit-down restaurant so plan-c was learning how to cook my own. after quite a bit of shopping, i settled on this very nice wok set. i have a glass top electric, so flat-bottom was a necessity, and non-stick was on my nice-to-have list. this provides both and is of good quality. i didn't want to chance damaging the non-stick surface, so i also bought a set of silicone utensils. reminder: unlike carbon steel or cast iron, non-stick surfaces will degrade over time. take care of them and you can at least hope to get your money's worth before having to replace them.today i made fried rice and stir fried chicken with a bunch of veggies. the pan warms up in a reasonable time and stays hot. the helper handle comes in handy because it has some heft to it. clean up is a breeze with soap and water. overall, a very good buy for the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars 101 ways to Wok your dogs
Woks well from frying eggs to making meatball subs and everything in-between. Makes a great emergency punch bowl. I like it enough and the price is right to give as a wedding gift for ex's. Non stick is great and comes with other utensils that are usable in both home and garage. Wicked easy to clean. Heavy. Tough enough for guys to use and abuse and still look good and take more abuse. Mine has fallen off the counter several times and I can bang it back round easily enough with a soft mallet. Contains enough food for one guy or two hungry Labradors.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cooking Vessel ...
I just got this wok and it is already proven to be a great cooking tool. I think that a smaller wok would be too small to cook anything worth mentioning. But anything bigger than 14" diameter would be just too large to have on the stovetop. At 14" this is already a fairly sizeable pan. Add the handles and suddenly you are taking up alot of real estate. That is why I keep mine in the oven when it is not being used.Cooking with it is great. I am fortunate that my stove has one very large, very powerful burner where I place this wok. The carbon steel is very responsive to heat changes, but also seems to hold heat very well. Filling the wok halfway with oil I was able to easily make some delicious sweet and sour chicken. The side drain rack we great for these but also restricts access to cooking food, so have a long spider. I was also able to fry about a .25 pound of catfish nuggets at a time without crowding the pan or having a terrible drop in temperature. The flat bottom of the wok is great. You can set it on a burner and turn away without risk of disaster. The wood handles never got more than "warm" while cooking, even with oil splatter hitting the helper handle. The lid is aluminum and incredibly light. I appreciate that it has a smaller diameter than the wok, so it sits about 1/2" below the rim of the wok. Using the wok lid at the same time as the drip rack still makes a decent cover.Unfortunately this wok does not have a pour divot or spout, so like all round pans it is no fun to pour out oil. However, as long as the vessel you are pouring into is stable you can use the helper handle. And that makes the whole job much easier. Cleaning the wok was a breeze. Just some hot soapy water and a wipe down. As I said I store my wok in the oven since it dominates the stove with its size. The accessories are decent quality but might be unneeded extras for some buyers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Non-Stick
Have used it a few times and I like it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need!!!
I love my Joyce Chen 10 piece non-stick wok set! It has a non-stick coated flat bottom for cooking on a gas range and wooden handles on opposite ends of the wok for easy lifting. A dome wok lid, Bamboo spatula, tongs, rice paddle, cooking chopsticks, 6pairs of chopsticks, tempuro rack, steam rack, and a recipe book came with the set. No more baking!! I use my wok daily to stir fry vegetables and meat (cut in bite size pieces). It only takes a few minutes to cook and clean. Use 1 or 2 tablespoons of oil and cook on medium-high heat. Wash the wok with mild detergent and warm water, then hand dry. Eat healthy! Enjoy your meal!
5.0 out of 5 stars For people who are serious about stir fry
My family cooks with a wok at least 3 or 4 times a week so we have tried a lot of different woks in the last few years. We have tried the fancy Calphalon, but at 12 inches it was just to small and shallow for cooking family size dishes. Great if you are single or have no kids, but I have two hungry boys to fed. We have also tried the old fashion iron wok from China town. It was huge and tough as a nail but no non-stick coating so you better use lots of cooking oil or else a real work out to clean. So I was really glad to find this 14 inches wok with the excellent excalibur non-stick coating because it is big and deep like a real wok should be, and yet has the high tech coating to make it easy to live with. The excalibur coating is the best one I have used and can stand up to all the abuses in a real kitchen. Great product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great cookware with a non-stick coating that woks[sic]!
We received this wok as a wedding gift in March 2008. Four years later this wok is still in great condition and is a joy to use! The non-stick coating is great for cooking and cleaning because the food does not stick and burn while cooking, and afterwards a quick run under the faucet leaves the wok clean. We use this fairly regularly - almost once a week - and the non-stick coating shows no signs of wear. This wok has a flat bottom that is ideal for the flat surface of our electric stove. The wok heats quickly and distributes heat evenly enough for me. The accessories are not that impressive, but the wok by itself is worth the price.I just bought this wok as a gift for a family member - I highly recommend it!
Magnífico
La comida queda excelente, la calidad del wok es de primera ya tenemos varios meses usándolo, y no se le ve ni una rayadura. Lo volvería a comprar sin pensarlo.
Absolutely love it!
It's my favorite wok pan now!
Great nonstick wok set if you are willing to pay the price
For those who don't want to deal with having to remove the "coating" off the cheaper wok in this listing, this is the one for you. I researched a lot before buying this Wok and after using it for several months, I am quite happy with my purchase. It is by far the best nonstick wok I've ever owned. It has a flat bottom and is pretty heavy and sturdy. I like it that way, but some people might have a hard time lifting it with one hand with food in it. It heats up quickly, absolutely nothing sticks, and very easy to clean with a sponge. It does not scratch or loose its coating. Joyce Chen's catalogue says it has a 25 year warranty. We'll see, but so far I'm very impressed. With respect to the accessories, the wok lid fits perfectly. The frying rack and steamer are bonus, though I have not used them yet. The wooden spatulas and chopsticks are a nice extra, but not the best quality.Make sure you dry it after cleaning, otherwise tiny spots of rust do appear as it's iron after all.
Nice
It is a bit big for me otherwise a great wok.
