I have used this heavily for a hip injury that otherwise would keep me up in pain all night and also for after my laparoscopic abdominal surgery. I have hardly taken any pain meds as a result.My only caution is that there is no timed heat shutoff like most heating pads and so you can damage your skin if you leave it on too long on high with blankets and everything over it. Honestly, I did that many times and only one time was my skin blotchy red and then I stopped doing that and went to TENS unit after the redness went away.I do recommend this for people who can be careful about how long they use it and how high they set it. I would be cautious about using it for children, elderly, or anyone who might need supervision or who might have more fragile skin. It's not hotter than other heating pads, but it doesn't turn off by itself and covers a large area.I will say that it does get less hot after a while, and I don't know why, but occasionally I did wake up with it being too hot, never extremely hot, but I just did the unthinkable and had it under layers of blankets against the cold and that was not advisable. They say doing that with any electric heating pad could start a fire. I will tell you that I've accidentally left it on all day and used it all night without any fire issues, but don't take that for granted.For use during waking hours without piling blankets on so it holds too much heat, I recommend it for people with normal condition skin for warming large areas.I have to also say that it's great to use if the room is cold and your bed is cold and you just want to be warm. Just make sure you turn it off before you go to sleep. It was a good deal when I bought it.

I am happy I chose this model, it works perfectly and is easy to use (heats up very quickly). It's economical and doesn't have push buttons which can end up not working. The slide function is a good feature to adjust the heat setting. Very happy with this purchase.

If you want to be concerned about setting your mattress on fire, this is the gem for you. I constantly have cold toes/feet, so I thought I would try this heating pad between my top sheet and comforter. It has Low, Medium, and High. I will let it go for about 5 minutes on medium and then switch to low. And sometimes I wake up sweating because the low is too warm! The pad is quite large, compared to others. But the cover is not soft, at all.PLEASE KNOW-THERE IS NO AUTOMATIC OFF TIMER. DO NOT USE WITH KIDDOS, DOGS, ANYTHING THAT IS UNABLE TO TELL IT’S TOO HOT!!!

The media could not be loaded. I have Irritable bowel syndrome. The pain is excruciating and the only thing that "sort of helps" is heat. This heating pad is covering the entire length of my back. It heated up very quickly too. There was no foam insert like they used to include for some brands - I personally never cared for them. The fabric is extremely soft and the pad can easily flex to wrap around you. I do see this being as something easily washable. I would like to see some sort of button to close the fabric entirely. I do recommend this. Currently am laying on this and the heat is perfect even as a bed warmer for a cold winters night and a good relief even for back muscles

These heating pads are amazing!!! I have purchased 5 of them because they are so helpful to keep my outside cats( strays) warm. They stay on and don't have a timed heater which is great for when it's cold. I set them on low and put bedding on top,it's the perfect amount of heat and works really well:)I even use one under my guinea pig cage placed under the coraplast . These are a great price and are durable as well! It's a good buy and worth every reasonable penny !!!:)

I have used this Sunbeam product for more than two years, so far, and it has helped with post-op therapy for pain and swelling as well as added warmth and comfort during the frigid winter months. It is durable with a simple slider control for power activation along with various heat level settings. A dependable device at a fair price.

I’m replacing my 15 year old Sunbeam heating pad. It was still working but it got squished up and crumpled and I thought it would be safer to buy a new one. This new version does not get nearly as hot on high setting. The highest it gets is about the medium setting in the old version. And low is barely warm. I’m sure this is safer but not nearly as effective.

Turned this heating pad on and it burned through the material!! Good thing we smelled it otherwise it could have burnt my skin or even worse created a fire!!!
Good heating pad for the money
Works good but I find that medium isn’t hot enough and high is too hot. I wish there were more temperature settings. Auto shut off is a great safety feature but I wish you could adjust the time for it to shut off. Overall a good product, appears to be well made.

Good heating pad
We are still using this after about a year of use, and find it works well. My husband loves that it is larger than most heating pads.
