5.0 out of 5 stars Works if you know how to wax
I see a lot of reviews on burns and melted wax containers. I will say this is user error. Mainly because the container gives specific heating instructions. You need to sir wax common sense. Don’t ever hear wax for 2 mins in the microwave. Also extra hot wax on sensitive areas like you face you need to be careful especially if you use retinol products. I’ve had amazing results always because I use powder as a light barrier and don’t wax my face within 2 weeks of retinol use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Necessity
This wax is amazing. No strips needed. Easy to heat in the microwave and simple to use for beginners. I wax my entire face with this every 1-2 weeks. I have to have on hand all the time and I've been using this product for 2 years. It's the best. I've done it all, laser treatment, tweezing, shaving, threading. This is the only thing that keeps me looking like a normal woman lol
1.0 out of 5 stars The worst wax ever used in over 35 years!
The wax is not doing what it is supposed to do… remove hair. I have been waxing for more than 35 years and have a lot of experience. An experience like this one never happened. This product is not was expected. I followed the instructions as it varies from brand to brand. It never warmed up after 1 minute but 5 minutes and it wasn’t hot just warm to the skin. I never experienced that with any product before. It should have been a warning. The wax was very difficulty to apply and wouldn’t not come off of ski with a cotton band/bandelette . It would not remove much hair either after using my hand to remove the wax. I warmed up the wax 2 more times ( separate time) 15 seconds with little results as it cool off very fast. I got frustrated with it. It was sticky but not removing hair and it got stuck to a strand of hair ( I lost that strand), beach towel I was waxing on, clothes, cabinets, handles, shower knobs, handles etc! I have spent over 3 hours on attempting to get rid of this awful wax from skin, fabric, knobs etccc with minimal progress. I took 3 showers so far and I have applied tons of petroleum jelly to my legs and hands where the wax got stuck the most. I have also attempted to clean cabinets, handles, knobs that were touched with my disgusting waxy hands and it’s still in progress. This product is not worth it: not the price of the product, the inability to effectively and cleanly remove unwanted hair, the time, effort and energy required to attempt to clean your house. This product should not be on the market. I can’t believe I got several jars because they are so small. Bottom line, I will shave when all that goo comes out ! Do not buy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great wax
I don’t like the wax hair removal with strips. This is the old fashioned kind - just wax that you rip off and it works so much better than the strips.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not the same as in the past
Not sure if the formula has changed, but doesn’t seem to work as well as it has in the past. Also takes longer to heat in the microwave
5.0 out of 5 stars does the job
dont need waxing stips so its easy - Just microwave If you dont have tongue depressor for application I have used plastic sppon or plastic knife to apply.
3.0 out of 5 stars Removes hair well, but...
I have been using hot wax for facial hair for years. My ususal go-to wax, VidaSleek, is currently unavailable. I saw great reviews for this product and got this. It worked great removing facial hair. But in my opinion, this product has a lot of negatives. It smells bad and is too sticky. It is extremely difficult to wash off, it's like glue. I used soap and coconut oil, but couldn't get it off completely. And the skin was burning for quite some time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best wax ever
Why did it take me 41 years to find this wax. I've been using Sally witch left the tiny fine hairs behind, this one got everything.
Good review
Very nyc wax used for the first tym and is less painful than other wax. Easy to do at home
Great Product!
Been using it for years! Love it. It arrived very promptly as well.
Cire
Tres bon produit fonctionne vraiment bien
Buena cera
Muy buena cera. Se retira super bien el vello y dura mucho. No se hace desastre. :)
Great wax
It was my first time waxing at home and must say that apart from it being messy, it went rather well. The wax takes off hair very well. Yes you do have to get your timing right so it doesn't start cracking and yes, it's best to use baby powder or oil prior to waxing. It helps a lot! Down side is that wax goes cold quite quickly so trips to the microwave in the middle of waxing weren't great but I got a work around for it now - a cup warmer plate that heats up to 80 degrees. Would recommend the actual Gigi Brazilian microwable wax kit if it's your first time, as it comes with all the pre and post care. Overall very happy and bought this again.
