This product really has a great hold without leaving your hair feeling super crunchy at the end. I like to smooth an anti frizz oil through the ends (not the roots) to help soften up my hair if needed. One thing I will mention though is that the "unscented" has a scent. So, if you are sensitive to smells then I would stay away from the unscented. It has a very natural type of smell.

I've been using Aveda Confixor for many years and love it. It's just a light gel, and you only use a small amount. It's a bit on the pricey side, but in the long run it's a great value because one bottle will last a looong time.
