5.0 out of 5 stars Mighty fine set of six pens.
Sure glad I found these on Bolo. . .they're quality, variety of tip sizes; deep black ink. Perfect for doodling, drawing, lettering and crafts of sorts.
5.0 out of 5 stars New nib sizes!
A lot of my artwork is done with pen and inks. From India inks, acrylic inks and fine liner pens. I've tried a few different types but keep finding my way back to the Sakura Microns for my line drawings. The pens flow consistentcy* is impeccable. My biggest problem using them has been pushing to hard on the nibs causing them to either bend or disappear up into the shaft. I have to continually remind myself of this haha.I love this newest set with the two larger nibs! The flow, durability and quality of these Microns will always keep me coming back to buy more. For me, the only things better are using my glass or metal nibs for my pen and ink drawings but the fine liner pens are much less messy and much more convenient. 😉
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Pens. Ordering another set now actually
So i’ve had these a few weeks and i use them ALOT at work, and through work found my love of drawing again in between my cases. Lol the “wow, you’re super talented” from the colleagues def helps fuel this fire but anyways. For writing, i write almost micro small but OCD about neat handwriting too so the .005 is my go to and allows me to write super small while being extremely precise.Drawing/Sketching. I pretty much use the .005 to outline some stuff after i sketch with a pencil. N if i need to fill in some black space i’ll use the .8. Barely have touched the other ones, but i should. Anyways, i’m very happy with this purchase and way well worth the money. I highly recommend whether you are using for drawing or writing. So like my subject line states, i’m going to submit this and buy another set from home. Writing with regular pens after using this won’t be the same, that i can assure you!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Pens for line art!!
I bought these pens when I saw they were listed for writing AND DRAWING! I desperately needed new line art pens when my go-to pen ran out of ink and I had no more doubles left. I got EIGHT pens of VARYING SIZES and TIP STYLES for a very good price, and I couldn't be happier! I used the pen with the number 1 on the pen cap for the drawing I am putting with this review and it doesn't bleed or smudge at all! I took a chance and trusted Bolo to guide me to my new signature line art pen, and they sure did deliver! I WILL be buying these again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best pens ever
These pens are excellent. Great for line drawing, zentangles and they are permanent so you can use watercolors with them and they don’t run. I have many sets!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality but uncomfortable
I love the variety of pens with this set and they work as stated. However, they are VERY uncomfortable to write with for any length of time. When I set up my bullet journal pages, I can't do too much before having to take a break with these pens. I wish the part of the pen where your finger tips go was more rounded/ergonomically correct. Maybe they exist and I just haven't search enough for Sakura pens like that.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nicely made Japanese pens from what I can see so far.
Star date 11, 20, 2024 - pens just delivered via Bolo; our mission is to go where no man has gone before: attempt to replace the Sharpie Ultra Fine point.I'm trying out these pens as a possible replacement for the Sharpie Ultra Fine tip pens that I have long used. I love the Sharpie pens when they are new, but they quickly dry up and also have a very bad habit of leaking ink all over the place from the tips - and that gets old real fast.Since I didn't know exactly what size Micron pen would most closely duplicate the look and feel of the Sharpie Ultra Fine tip, I decided to just blow $20 and buy the full set. Sure, you can ask Google and/or read all about this on Reddit, but until the pen tip hits the paper, it's all just speculation as far as I'm concerned.Anyway, I'm presenting my informal findings thus far here for your consideration. From what I can see the Micron 02, 03 and 05 are all top contenders for this spot - with the Micro 03 perhaps edging out the competition just slightly. It's a very close call to be sure - and a lot has to do with how much pressure you apply to the tip while writing - but the 03 size seems to be pretty darn close. The "PN" point (at the top there) is an outlier and most like a small size Japanese calligraphy pen tip than the rest. All the others are much more like various sizes of the Sharpie style tip. The 12 size is like the Sharpie on steroids - it's big. When you start getting down into the 01 and below sizes, the tip is so tiny that I think I'm more in fear of hurting the tip than writing anything with it. The 003 size is like trying to write using the broken off leg of an ant dipped in ink or something.. it's crazy tiny. I mean if you need to make very tiny notes or citations, then I guess it would be handy; however, for daily writing notes, I don't think it would be the first pen I would grab (nor would the 005 or 01 sizes be either).I'm gonna roll with the 03 size and the 05 size for now and see how I like it. As long as these pens don't leak ink all over the place and/or dry out in a month, that will be a nice improvement over the Sharpie pens... time will tell.* NOTE: I will update this review once I have had a chance to use these pens for a bit. So far, they look promising.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Tested all the pens the day I received them. All work great, smoothly with no bleed. Contrastly, ordered another company pens, tested & a handful didn’t work at all, so I super appreciate the quality. I look forward to working with these pens !!! Would recommend!
Precise and Reliable!
The Sakura Pigma Micron pens are perfect for writing, drawing, and detailed artwork. The archival black ink is smooth, waterproof, and fade-resistant. With assorted tip sizes, they’re versatile for fine lines, sketches, and crafts. A must-have set for artists and crafters!
